Basically, many students like to eat the food that is most available where they live. And they are strongly influenced by eating habits of their peers (同齡人). Men have more beer, meat and white bread than women. Women consume more diet soda.

The reason is very simple. Because we are social animals and generally likely to make a meal of whatever everybody else is having. So some experts advise that if you're trying to lose weight but your friends think pizza and beer is a balanced meal, then the problem is coming. And what you need to do is to change your eating habits or pack your bags.
