The equipment, set up by China Construction Bank's Shanghai Branch on Jiujiang Road in the downtown district, is providing selfservice—replacing the counters and busy clerks at traditional banks, and it is using robots. Customers visiting the bank for the first time need to show their ID cards or bank cards to get in through a turnstile(入口處等的旋轉(zhuǎn)式柵門). Then their facial information is collected and they_can go on with almost any kind of things. They do not need to show their cards or mobile phones again.

Another highlight of the automated bank is a robotic guide that can understand and answer all kinds of questions in Mandarin. When asked if it can speak Shanghai dialect(方言), the robot answered, “I am a new Shanghai person and I can't speak the local dialect.”
