It’s sad to learn that a whale has died in the ocean. However, that’s not the end for the whale. It has a lot to give to other sea animals after death.
When a whale dies, it quickly sinks (下沉) to the bottom of the ocean floor. There, the whale body provides food and nutrients (營養(yǎng)) to deep-sea animals, which are often hungry for food. The remains can last for hundreds of years and create a complex ecosystem called a whale fall (鯨落).
Chinese scientists found a whale fall for the first time in the South China Sea during a deep-sea expedition (考察) carried out by oceanic research vessel (艦) Tansuo-1, which finished its expedition on April 2, 2020. Tansuo-1 carried the manned submersible (潛水器) Shenhai Yongshi, which is able to dive to a depth of 4,5000 meters.
The whale fall in the South China Sea is about three meters long. Scientists have found several species (物種) of shrimp and fish near the whale fall. Some fish have started to eat the whale’s tail. The whale fall might be quite recent and needs long-term observation (觀察), according to Xie Wei, a scientist who took part in the expedition.
The whale fall ecosystem can exist in the deep ocean because great pressure and cold temperatures there prevent body from decomposing too quickly. But the depth also makes it hard for scientists to discover them. There are about 50 known whale falls in the world.
By studying the whale fall, scientists can better understand how marine (海洋的) ecosystems support life and how to protect biodiversity (生物多樣性) resources in the deep sea.

A.when a whale fall happen.B.where a whale fall happen.
C.why a whale fall happen.D.how a whale fall happen.

根據(jù)第四段“The whale fall might be quite recent and needs long-term observation (觀察), according to Xie Wei, a scientist who took part in the expedition.” 根據(jù)第三段“Chinese scientists found a whale fall for the first time in the South China Sea during a deep-sea expedition (考察)”可知A符合文意;根據(jù)第四段“Scientists have found several species (物種) of shrimp and fish near the whale fall.”可知,B符合文意;根據(jù)第三段“Chinese scientists found a whale fall for the first time in the South China Sea during a deep-sea expedition (考察) carried out by oceanic research vessel (艦) Tansuo-1, which finished its expedition on April 2, 2020.”
A“放入”;B“變質(zhì)”;C“跌倒”;D“動身,出發(fā)”。根據(jù)語境“The whale fall ecosystem can exist in the deep ocean because great pressure and cold temperatures there prevent body from decomposing too quickly.”“鯨落生態(tài)系統(tǒng)能在深海存在,因?yàn)槟抢锞薮蟮膲毫偷蜏刈柚沽耸w快速……”,結(jié)合常識可知,動物死去之后,尸體會很快變質(zhì)、腐爛。
根據(jù)短文最后一段“By studying the whale fall, scientists can better understand how marine (海洋的) ecosystems support life and how to protect biodiversity (生物多樣性) resources in the deep sea.”
A“科學(xué)”;B“地理”;C“謎,秘密”;D“旅行”。

Loneliness, a natural feeling, is not something most people want to experience. When you feel lonely as a result of missing a loved one or a place, or preparing for a time spent away from your friends and family, here are some suggestions for you to avoid it.
Focus on your health
Studies have shown that poor sleep, lack of physical activity and unhealthy food can let you feel tired and sad, causing the feeling of loneliness. Try to get eight hours of sleep every night, try to take part in at least 30 minutes of physical activity, and don’t eat junk food. Eating more fruits and vegetables will also help.
Bring an old hobby back to life
It’s much more difficult to feel lonely if you’re actively enjoying an activity, especially one that you are good at. If you’ve got a hobby that you love, try to spare time for your hobby even if you are busy, such as reading, playing a sport, cooking, painting ...
Avoid staying at home all day long
Spending your time in nature will probably improve your feelings and help you get over loneliness. Sunshine makes you feel happier and less focused on your loneliness. You can go hiking, go boating or go on a bike ride if you are not interested in just walking around. You may go for a coffee with your friends or even make big plans so that you have events to look forward to. First, you can make possible activities you might want to take part in, then, spend a few days planning out the event, so that you are fully prepared and stress-free. If possible, include other people in your plan to make your activity more interesting.

【題目】 "How are you?" is a nice question. It's a friendly way that people in the U.S.A. greet each other.【1】. It's a question that often doesn't need an answer. The person who asks "How are you?" hopes to hear the answer "Fine" even though the speaker isn't fine at all. The reason is that "How are you?" isn't really a question, and "Fine" isn't really an answer. They are simply the ways of saying "Hello" or "Hi".
【2】. For example, when someone asks "Do you agree?", the other person might think, "No, I disagree. I think you're wrong..." But it isn't very polite to speak out one's real thoughts so directly, so the person might say "I'm not sure", which is a nicer way to say that you don't agree.
People won't tell the truth when they want to finish talking with other people. For example, many talks over the phone finish when one person says "I have to go now." Often, the person who wants to hang up gives an excuse like "Someone's at the door. "or" Something is burning on the stove."【3】. They want to hang up simply because they don't want to talk any more, but it isn't polite to tell the truth. The excuse is more polite and it doesn't hurt the other person's feelings.
Whether they are greeting each other, talking about an idea, or finishing a talk, people don't always say exactly what they are thinking. 【4】. and it's part of the game of a language.
A.What they say might not be true
B.Sometimes people don't say exactly what they mean
C.But it is also a very unusual question
D.It doesn't sound good to lie to others
