One possible version. 　　Edison's family was poor. In order to try out his ideas, he had to earn money by himself. With the money he bought the things he wanted in the lab. 　　He had ever sold newspapers on trains and moved his lab onto trains. One day, after selling newspapers, he was working hard on trying one of his ideas, the desk near him caught fire. A conductor came over quickly and slapped him in the face, then drove him out of the train. From then on he could hear nothing with that ear.
