   Mandeep is from a poor family. When she was young,she couldn’t afford to go to school. She had to help her parents with farm work. She used to get up at 5 a.m. and worked in the field all day. One day,a UNICEF officer came to her village. UNICEF is a charity. It helps poor children go to school. With the officer’s help,Mandeep went to school. Now she can read and write. She hopes to be a teacher in the future.
