Christ#1 Junior Member UID 535896 Credits 845 | I've been keeping a diary since I was 16and I'm now 65.I have more than 80notebooks in a big box.I don't want my children puzzled(困惑) by them when I die.But I can't bring myself, yet,to burn the case?My diaries are still part of me.Might my grandchildren be interested?Or is there some way I could turn them into something creative?I'm thinking art,not a book. |
Action#2 Junior Member UID 635698 Credits 1212 | Please don't burn them! What wonderful memories for you---or if you feel you'd rather not keep them, possibly how important for others. Why not contact(聯(lián)系) something like the Mass Observation Project at the University of Sussex? Then they will remain as a record, and if your grandchildren are interested, they'll know where to find them. |
Barrel#3 Junior Member UID 835688 Credits 1358 | If possible, have them transcribed(轉(zhuǎn)錄) into a computer before your words are lost.I recently had an opportunity to read a similar diary of the WWII(二戰(zhàn)) of an ordinary soldier, which is different from the official(官方的) record and is such an attraction. So I think many social historians(歷史學(xué)家) and similar people would find your record useful, because it's all about the life during the second half of the 20th century. Please don't stop writing now just because you are 65! |
