多任務(wù)混合問題
This Thursday, across the US, (任務(wù)一)孩子們要和父母一起去上班而不是去上學(xué)。 They can help their parents do some cleaning, send e-mails and deal with other daily things. Because April 28 is Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work Day all over the US. This holiday shows kids what it means to be a grown-up in the working world.
I still remember when this day started, I was very happy. Not only did I have the chance to leave the school, but I also could sit in my dad’s taxi all day long and we would go to a restaurant for lunch.
(任務(wù)二) I couldn’t read my book in the car as I would get carsick(暈車) and my dad didn’t like to turn on the radio. I got hot and uncomfortable. People wouldn’t get into his taxi because they thought he already had a passenger: me—so nothing happened. It seemed years before we went out for lunch. In fact, I started to miss the school.
Although the purpose of the day is to give kids a chance to experience possible jobs in their futures, I got something completely different from the day. I learned to value school life. Where else can you play with your friends, do science experiments, read great books and write stories all in one day?
(任務(wù)三)Just like you’ll have to learn to love your job later in life, learn to love school now. If you don’t, try spending the day at work with your dad.

Qi Haoran, a Junior student, was quite busy over the past winter vacation and not just with his homework. Qi, together with other classmates made a volunteer group to call on people to join the Clean Your Plate Campaign (光盤行動(dòng)). The students went to many restaurants and told people the importance of saving food. "Excuse me, do you know that nine million people around the world still haven't got enough to eat? Could you please not waste food?" They would say this kind of thing hundreds of times every day.
China in recent years has experienced serious problems with wasted food. CCTV reported in January that the food Chinese people waste every year is enough to feed 20 million people for a year. It's a tradition that Chinese people offer lots of food when they invite others to dinner. Many even feel that they will lose face iftheir guests have eaten all their foods
Luckily the campaign has got the support of many. In a restaurant in Xinjiang, the owner gives the guests who have eaten up all that they ordered a sticker. People can enjoy a free meal when they have ten stickers. More than seven restaurants in Beijing have begun to offer smaller dishes and encourage their guests to take leftovers (剩飯剩菜) home.
Wasting food is a serious problem around the world, not only in China. It's said that two billion tons (噸) of food ends up as waste every year. This is as much as half of all the food in the world. The UN Environment Programme and the Food and Agriculture Organization held a "Think, Eat, Save" programme on 2 January to help reduce food waste.

Which of your hands do you use most ? Very few of us use both of our hands well. Most of us are right-handed. Only about five people out of a hundred are left-handed. New-born babies can take things with either of their hands, but in about two years they like to use their right hands. Scientists don’t know why this happens. They have studied it. They think our animal ancestors(祖先) are right-handed. This may not be true. Monkeys are our closest relations in the animal world. Scientists have found that monkeys like to use one of their hands more than the other—but it can be either hand. There are as many right-handed ones. Next time you visit the zoo, watch the monkeys carefully. You’ll see that some of them will swing(擺動(dòng))from their right hands and others will use their left hands. But most human beings(人類) use their right hands better and this makes life difficult for the left-handed ones. We live in a right-handed world.
