Jenet went down the long stairs with a lot of people around her. It was her first time to take the underground. It made her nervous. Next she had to go down to a hall to buy a ticket. It was $1.60. That was cheap. With so many people taking the underground, it didn’t have to be expensive.

With her ticket in hand , she followed the lines of people and got to the underground hall. The noises made her nervous. She had to follow the colored lines on the wall. She needed the orange line. There were purple, blue , green, and red lines on the walls too, but she ignored them. She followed the orange line down to a platform （站臺）.

Some people were waiting for their subway train by standing there. Other people were buying drinks from machines. A person was selling magazines and newspapers. Janet didn’t have money to spend, so she stood there and read the advertisement posters（廣告海報）when she waited.
