【答案】例文
The fight against the outbreak has lasted for a few months. During the fight, doctors and nurses are like heroes─ they protect us and they fight for us. My aunt, a doctor, moved me a lot.
For the past years, my aunt was just an ordinary relative for me. But the decision she made on January 23rd changed my thought completely ─ she was asked to go to Wuhan to help the patients there. Though her daughter was only three years old, she decided to leave for Wuhan. For her, it was the thing that she must do. I was really moved.
I want to tell my aunt that I am proud of her and I think she’s a real hero.

【題目】 A woman was at the airport waiting for her flight to start boarding. She still had a lot of time, so she went to a shop and bought a book to read. While she was in the shop, she decided to buy a bag of cookies as well.
She arrived at her gate, sat down and started reading her book. She read her book so carefully that she didn’t notice what was going on around her. But she did see that a man had sat down next to her and taken one of her cookies out of the bag.
She pretended(假裝) not to notice, as she didn’t want to make a scene(當(dāng)眾大吵). But then the man took more. He kept eating the cookies until there was just one left. The man took the last cookie and broke it in half. He tapped the woman on the shoulder and held out one half to her.
The woman could not believe how much nerve (勇氣) this man had to steal (偷) all of her cookies and then offer half a cookie in return. She angrily grabbed (奪) the half-cookie out of his hand and ate it without any words.
Finally, it was time for her to board. As she went to the gate, she reached into her purse. Suddenly, she realized that her bag of cookies was still in her purse. The man had eaten his own cookies the whole time and simply wanted to share the last one with her. The woman’s face turned red with shame. So she quickly caught up with him and said, “__________.”
When we’re not paying attention to the world around us, it can be easy to misunderstand what’s happening or even become angry with others. It is better to keep our eyes open and think about every possibility when trying to understand a special situation.

【題目】 ①Elephants are the biggest land animals alive today. We have worked with elephants for a long time, but there are still many misunderstandings about elephants.
②Some people think that elephants will run away if they see a mouse. This is untrue, in fact, elephants have such poor eyesight that they would not usually see a mouse, even if one came very near them.
③ “Elephants never forget.” is another fallacy(謬論). No evidence suggests that elephants have better memories than any other animals.
④Finally, there is the myth(神話) that when the time comes for an elephant to die, it goes to some kind of elephant graveyard(墓地), but no one has ever found such a graveyard. What elephants probably do when they are old and sick is finding a cave and staying in it, so they will be safe until they either get better or die.
⑤In Thailand, when the country was still called Siam, if someone found a white elephant, they gave it to the king because it was rare. The king had no choice but to keep the animal and feed it, even though it had no use for him. From this practice we get the expression, “a white elephant”, which means something that is not useful to us.
