On Sept. 19,2014 Alibaba went public on the New York Stock Exchange(紐約證券交易所), raising $25 billion through an IPO(公司股票的首次公開發(fā)行), the biggest in the US history. It shows that Ma Yun has done his business successfully. The short Chinese man seems to be the tallest in the world right now. Born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Ma grew up as a happy kid. At the age of 12, he wanted to learn English. Every morning, he woke up at 5 a.m. , cycling 40 minutes to a hotel near the West Lake where he could chat with foreign tourists.

On a trip to the US in 1995,Ma was shown the Internet for the first time. Seeing the chance, Ma returned to China and set up a website called China Pages without even knowing much about computers.

Four years later,18 people including Ma, his wife and his friends founded Alibaba in Hangzhou. People called him "Crazy Jack Ma". But 15 years later, Alibaba has developed into the world's largest e-commerce(電子商務)company.

【題目】 The world is so colorful in our eyes. But does it look the same through the eyes of animals?

Animals live a different life from us humans. They have different needs. So their eyesight(視力) is special in all kinds of ways.

Dogs can see fewer colors than us and they can only see blue, brown and yellow. So when you go out with your pet dog, you’d better wear blue or yellow clothes so that your dog can follow you more easily.

Mice can move one eye in different directions while keeping the other eye still. It’s better to see their enemies. They can’t see as many colors as us. It’s not necessary because they mostly come out at night.

Horses are very tall and their eyes are on either side of the heads, so they can see wider than humans. However, a horse has a blind point in front of its nose. They can see green and blue, but most of the time they see grey.
