Valentine’s Day(情人節(jié))is a happy day for most lovers. However, for the students in our class,it’s a day for all of us. We can give presents to anyone we like, including our friends and teachers. There is a rule about Valentine’s Day in our class. Every student is supposed to put a nice box on his or her desk on Valentine’s Day. It’s used for holding the Valentine cards received. The box holds lots of happy and sad memories of us. We have a popularity contest(人氣競賽)which is marked by the number of the cards. This has been a custom(習(xí)俗)of our class since two years ago.
I can still remember that Valentine’s Day when we first started this custom.
That noon, all the students in our class were happy to enjoy their cards in their full boxes except me. In my box, there were just ten cards. The number was just one third of the number of the students in our class. When 1 was watching my cards unhappily,I saw a special one. The reason was not that it was designed(設(shè)計(jì))specially, but it was from a special person—my dad. I was very thankful because it was actually an encouragement for me at the time. Later I knew my father put the card into my card box when I was having breakfast that morning. I liked the card very much. I thought it was better than any card in my classmates’ boxes.
