【題目】閱讀判斷題,正確的填A,錯(cuò)誤的填B。
On my recent trip to Sydney with my parents, we visited the Wildlife Park.
The Wildlife Park has lots of different animals and birds. Some are native(當(dāng)?shù)氐?/span>) to Australia and can only be found there. There are over 600 animals there, including kangaroos, koalas and crocodiles(鱷魚). They are kept in their natural environment. I like the Wildlife Park better than a zoo where most of the animals are in cages(籠子).
We first spent some time with the kangaroos. We were allowed to touch and feed them. It was very exciting to be so close to them. There were koalas there too. They looked very cuddly(令人想擁抱的). Although we were not allowed to carry them, I got to take a photo with one. It is a wonderful souvenir(紀(jì)念品) of my holiday in Sydney.
The Wildlife Park has plenty of freshwater and saltwater crocodiles. Some of them are really big and scary with huge teeth! I did not want to get too close to them.
There was also a bird show. The keepers showed us different kinds they had. I
saw an old parrot which could “talk”. It made a great impression on me.
I enjoyed the trip very much. There was so much to see.

【題目】 Have you ever wondered if there are any easy and quick ways to lose weight? An experiment by the University of Konstanz, in Germany, found that wearing a blindfold (眼罩) while eating could be a quick way to solve the problem. The simple trick works because it stops people eating for pleasure. It also triggers (觸發(fā)) a part of the brain which is worriedwhether unseen food has gone bad without visual clues.
In the experiment, 50 people were blindfolded and 40 were allowed to see their food. All were told not to eat within two hours of the experiment. They were then given three 95g bowls of chocolate ice cream and invited to eat for 15 minutes. Their bowls were taken away and the remaining ice cream was weighed, while the volunteers were quizzed on how much they thought they had eaten. On average the group who could see ate 116g while the blindfolded groups ate 105g. However, the blindfolded group believed they had eaten 197g while compared with 159g for the non-blind volunteers.
According to the experiment, people who were blindfolded got 9 percent fewer calories before they felt full, compared to those who could see. They greatly overestimated (高估) howmuch they had eaten because they could not see how much was left on the plate. Blindfolded volunteers thought they had eaten 88 percent more than they actually had. Scientists believe that not seeing food on the table also allows the body to know when it is full in real time.
They were also asked how pleasant the ice-cream tasted. The blindfolded group had a poorer opinion of the ice-cream than those who could see. The experienced pleasure of eating was much lower in the blindfolded group. Not seeing the food might have decreased theappetite(食欲). Sight plays an important role in the overall eating experience.
If you are still on the way, maybe it is a good choice for you.

【題目】 Sports can help you keep fit and get in touch with nature. However, whether you are in the mountains, in the waves, or on the grassland, you should be aware that your choice of sports might have great influence on the environment.
Some sports are resource-hungry (資源饑渴). Golf, as you may know, eats up not only large areas of countryside, but also tons of water. Besides, all sorts of chemicals and huge amounts of energy are used to keep its courses in good condition. This causes major environment effects. For example, in the dry regions of Portugal and Spain, golf is often held responsible for serious water shortage in some local areas.
There are many environment-friendly sports. Power walking is one of them that you can take up today.
You don't need any special equipment except a good pair of shoes and you don't have to worry about resources and your purse. Simple and free, power walking can also keep you fit. If you walk regularly, it will be good for your heart and bones. Experts say that 20 minutes of power walking daily can make you feel less anxious, sleep well and have better weight control.
Whatever sports you take up, you can make it greener by using environment-friendly equipment and buying products made from recycled materials. But the final goal should be "green gyms". They are better replacement for traditional health clubs and modern sports stadiums. Members of green gyms play sports outdoors, in the countryside or other open spaces. There is no special requirement for you to start your membership. And best of all, it's free.

He decided to dig a tunnel(隊(duì)道) into the king’s palace. He flew a kite over the wall of the palace to make sure the length(長度) of its string(線). In this way, he could ②determine how long the tunnel should be. His men in the tunnel took the kite string with them. When they reached the end of the string, they knew to dig up.
Kites have been flown in Japan for hundreds of years. In the 1700s, kites were flown in autumn to give thanks for a good harvest. They were also flown to send good wishes to couples who had their first son. Today in Japan, kites are often flown as part of a celebration, such as the beginning of a new year. And kite festivals are held each year in many parts of the country.
Kites have been used for scientific purposes in the western world. In 1752,Benjamin Franklin tied a key to a kite and flew it in a storm to find out that lightening was a form of electricity. In the 1890s,Lawrence Hargrave invented the box kite to test ideas about flight. From 1898 until 1933, the United States Weather Bureau(氣象局) used box kites to collect weather data. The Wright brothers also experimented(試驗(yàn)) with kites. What they learnt helped them make the first airplane flight in 1903.
