Beibei is a 6-year-old girl from Beijing. She is a single child in a rich family. During a family trip to Shanghai，she made her parents feel ashamed（難為情的）. EQ is shaped partly by genetics（遺傳學）. “You can see some babies are quiet，while others have bad tempers，”Zhang Yiyun told Xinhua News Agency. EQ is also something you can learn for yourself. You can learn what different feelings might mean and how they relate to yourself and others.

If we learn in the right way，our EQ can get better as we get older. Children with a high EQ usually have greater success with making friends. They are also better able to manage conflicts（矛盾）with others. A high EQ is a combination（結合）of a few different skills，so we’d better learn these skills.
