       Have you ever dreamed of entering a magic world (魔法世界)  through a cartoon? Cartoonist
(漫畫(huà)家) Wu Miao, has done this in his book series, Tales of Tarsylia (《塔希里亞故事集》).
       Tales of Tarsylia tells us how four different wizards (法師) grow up in a kingdom of magic. They
do different magic tricks and go on all kinds of adventures.
       Wu became interested in Japanese cartoons when he was in junior high school. Before that, he loved
reading science novels. He decided to put the two together in his drawings.
       But his tastes changed as he grew older. "As I read more, I became unhappy with Japanese
cartoons. They are just about characters fighting with each other," said Wu. "I want more."
       "The most important thing for a cartoonist is to be patient," said Wu. "You have to put up with
(忍受) the loneliness and get ready for a hard life if necessary. It's not the well-paid work that some
people imagine. "
