18．Coldness pays a high price
Farmer John and his wife Molly live on a big farm．They hold pigs，cows and many other animals on their farm．There also lives a little mouse．
One day the mouse found a mousetrap on the floor．He decided to warn all the animals of the danger．
He first met the chicken．"There is a mousetrap in the house!"the mouse said．But the chicken answered coldly："It has nothing to do with me，as this is a danger for you．"
Then the mouse ran to the pig and the cow and told them about the mousetrap．But they didn't care about it and said it's none of their business．
The mouse sadly went back to the house．
At night，Molly found that a snake was caught by the mousetrap．Unluckily，the snake bit her on her leg．
The farmer took her to the hospital at once．Later，when they returned home，Molly still had a fever．John killed the chicken to make soup for her．
However，Molly didn't get well．Many friends and relatives came to visit her．The farmer killed the pig and the cow to feed all the visitors．
