閱讀下面的短文,并根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容用完整的句子回答問(wèn)題。?
Gao Xiaosong, who is a famous musician, movie director and the writer of the famous song My Deskmate, has been sent to jail(監(jiān)獄) and will stay there for six months for drunk driving.?
“I've nothing to say for myself and I'm willing to be punished(懲罰),” he said when he was standing in the court. “What I want to say is that I feel sorry for what I?ve done. I thought alcohol(酒精) could bring me freedom but never realized drunk driving could take away others freedom. And now I've lost my own freedom because of drinking. I'll obey the new road safety rules and I want to be a life?long volunteer in persuading(勸說(shuō)) others not to drive after drinking.”?
Anyone who drives after drinking doesn?t think much of human life. If Gao had cared, he would have left his car parked outside the restaurant and took a taxi home, and he would have thought about a road killer he would become. It's fair to say that his behavior can not be excused in modern society. Gao may not have killed anyone, but by choosing to drive a car while under the influence of alcohol, he and the large number of others who do the same have made the dangerous decision that may possibly hurt other people.
小題1:What was the reason for Gao Xiaosong's being jailed for six months??
小題2:How did he feel for what he had done??
小題3: Did he think he was wrong??
小題4:If one drives after drinking, what may happen??

信息歸納 (本部分共5小題,每小題1分,共5分)
Scientists who study the climate (氣候) are still arguing about how fast the earth is warming and how much it will warm, but they do agree that the earth is warming and that it will keep warming if we don’t do anything about it.
Scientists agree that the burning of fossil fuels (化石燃料) like oil and coal cause greenhouse gases to escape (釋放) into the air and that these gases are causing most of the warming. Another cause is deforestation ( cutting down trees ) . Trees soak up carbon dioxide  (二氧化碳) , one of the greenhouse gases, from the air.
There are already some changes happening because of global warming. Sea level is rising and some animals are already moving to new homes. It’s already too late to stop global warming completely.
If the warming gets worse, as scientists expect, there may be some kinds of plants and animals that become extinct (滅絕的) because they can’t move to new homes. There may be more storms and floods. Sea level may rise so much that people have to move away from the coasts. Some areas may become too dry for farming.
Global warming is a very difficult problem to fix. People are having a hard time agreeing on what to do about it. For example, everyone agrees that wasting energy is a bad thing to do. But some people think that the federal government (聯(lián)邦政府) should make laws about it, while other people think it should be up to each person or business to decide what to do.
Many states and businesses in the United States are not waiting until the federal government decides what to do. They have already started working on the problem.

閱讀短文,根據(jù)要求完成下面各小題。
Recently some houses in our community have been broken into. I would like to give you some suggestions about how to prevent from stealing (盜竊).
First, let’s talk about lighting. We should turn on the outside lights at night. Inside the house, it’s a good idea to put automatic timers (自動(dòng)定時(shí)器) on lights. When you are out, it will still look like someone is at home. If you live in an apartment building, make sure that there’s good lighting in the garage and in the hallways.
Next, let’s talk about locks. First of all, cheap locks are not safe. You should buy special locks to lock your doors and windows. 83 Remember to lock your doors and windows, even when you leave for just a minute. Did you know that half of the thieves break in through unlocked doors and windows?
My next suggestion is not to keep lots of money in the house. It’s wise to put your money in a bank. You should put marks on your other valuables, like television, stereos and cameras, so that the police can return them to you if they are found.
84Believe it or not, if you follow all of these suggestions above, your house will be safer.

Barack Obama, the US President-elect, is busy choosing members of his cabinet. His daughters, Sasha and Malia, are busy, too. They are making difficult decisions about different dog breeds (品種).
“The girls asked when we got in this race that [whether] win or lose, we get a dog,” said Michelle Obama. “So we will be welcoming a four-legged friend to our house.”
No matter what type of puppy Sasha and Malia pick, it will be a part of a long story of White House pets. Everything from snakes to bears has lived at the White House with the president and his family.
Calvin Coolidge, the 30th president, kept a pet raccoon (浣熊). Warren Harding had turkeys. William Howard Taft parked his cow in the White House garage too.
John Quincy Adams, the sixth president, had a pet alligator (鱷魚). But he wasn’t the only White House resident to have one. Herbert Hoover’s son had two pet alligators, and they were sometimes allowed to roam (閑逛) around the White House.
Bears have also been popular with American presidents. While Thomas Jefferson kept two grizzlies (灰熊) in a cage, Theodore Roosevelt had a black bear. Roosevelt’s interest in bears later led to the creation of the toy teddy bear.
Roosevelt and his six children loved animals, and they filled the White House with them. They had dogs, cats, squirrels (松鼠), raccoons, rabbits, guinea pigs, a badger (獾), a rat, a parrot, and a green snake.
根據(jù)上面短文的內(nèi)容填空
1. ________ and ________ have difficulty in choosing different kinds of dogs.
2. The four-legged friend refers to ________ according to Michelle Obama’s ________.
