【題目】 During the 2016 Rio Olympics, people were surprised to see the round, purple marks on the body of the famous American swimmer Michael Phelps. What happened to him? In fact, he just visited a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)and had “cupping”(拔火罐).
Massage(按摩)and acupuncture(針灸)are two other important kinds of TCM. Chinese massage can make you relaxed and fresh. In acupuncture doctors put long needles(針)into the patients’ heads, faces, arms...It takes away pain, though the loo is funny.
TCM is an important part of Chinese culture. The earliest medical classic in China, Huangdi’t Classic on Medicine, came out more than 2,000 years ago. The book is about the relationship between man and nature. In Chinese culture, yin and yang are the two parts of nature. Nature keeps balanced (平衡) if yin and yang work well together. The human body needs such a balance, too. TCM helps to do that. Quite specially, for some health problems, a doctor of TCM will not give you medicine. Instead, he may give you just a food plan and right ways to eat.
For example, it is common to eat on the way to school, at our desk, or in front of the TV. But TCM thinks it’s wrong Here are the correct ways :Sit down to cat, While eating, turn off the TV and get away from the work desk ;Eat seasonal foods,Do not miss any of the three meals. Also, get your body moving often, just as the saying goes,“Running water1s never stale.”
Nowadays, traditional Chinese medicine is becoming more and more popular around the world .A government report says that people in 183 counties and areas are now using TCM.

My summer hols wr CWOT. B4, we usd 2 go 2 NY 2C my bro, his GF & thr 3: @ kids FTF. ILNY, it's gr8.
Can you understand this sentence? If you can't, don't feel too bad. Neither could the middle school teacher in England who received this as homework. This is Netspeak: the language of computerized communication found on Internet or mobile phones. To newcomers, it may look like a completely foreign language. So, what is the ‘translation' of the sentence above? It means: My summer holidays were a complete waste of time. Before, we used to go to New York to see my brother, his girlfriend, and their three screaming kids face to face. I love New York, it's great.
Schoolteachers and parents say this new form of writing is harming the English language. Increasing spelling and grammatical mistakes can be seen in students' writing. They fear the language could become corrupted(面目全非的).
Everyone should just relax, say linguists(語言學(xué)家). They believe Netspeak is in fact more of a good thing. David Crystal, from the University of Wales, argues that Netspeak and Internet create a new language use and the almost lost art of diary writing has been picked up again. Geoffrey Nunberg, from Stanford University, agrees. "People get better at writing by writing," he says, "Kids who are now doing text messaging, e-mail, and instant messages will write at least as well as, and possibly better than, their parents."
Linguist James Milroy says, for centuries, it is believed without exception that young people are harming the language. And you can bet your bottom dollar that when today's teenagers become tomorrow's parents, they too will think this way. Milroy argues that languages do not and cannot become "corrupted"; they simply change to meet the new needs.
However, Netspeakers do agree that it is important to teach young people how to speak and write Standard English. Cynthia McVey says, "I can understand Netspeak worries teachers and it's important that they get across to their pupils that text messaging is for fun, but that learning to write proper English is a must for their future."
Perhaps we should give teenagers a little more trust anyway. Erin, age 12, says, "I wouldn't use text language in my homework. Texting is just for fun"
(1)What is the main purpose of the first paragraph?
A.To give an example of a foreign language.
B.To show an example of creative methods.
C.To express worries about using Netspeak.
D.To lead in the topic of Netspeak.
(2)Which of the following is true according to the passage?
A.Cynthia McVey points out teenagers can deal with Netspeak properly.
B.Geoffrey Nunberg believes Netspeakers can write Standard English.
C.David Crystal thinks Netspeak helps develop the habit of writing.
D.James Milroy says that language is changing and improving.
(3)The expression "bet your bottom dollar" in Paragraph 5 means ______.
A.be fairly sure
B.be greatly surprised
C.think it a pity
D.find it interesting

When I was 8 years old, I decided to run away from home after a quarrel with my mother. With my suitcase packed and some sandwiches in a bag, I started for the front door.
My mom asked where I was going. "I'm leaving home," I said.
"What's that you're carrying?" she asked.
"Some clothes and food," I replied.
"If you want to run away, that's all right," she said. "But you came into this home without anything and you can leave the same way."
I threw my suitcase and sandwiches on the floor and started for the door again.
"Wait a minute," Mom said. "You didn't have any clothes on when you arrived, and I want them back."
This infuriated me. I tore my clothes off — shoes, socks, underwear and all — and shouted, "Can I go now?"
"Yes," my mom answered, "but once you close that door, don't expect to come back."
I was so angry that I shut the door forcefully and stepped out of my home. Then I noticed that down the street two neighbor girls walking toward our house. I was so shy that I saw the big spruce(云杉) tree in our yard and jumped under the low-hanging branches. A pile of dried-up brown needles(針狀物) were beneath the tree, and you can't imagine the pain those sharp needles caused to my body.
After I was sure the girls had passed by, I dashed to the front door and banged on it loudly. "Who's there?" I heard.
"It's Billy! Let me in!"
The voice behind the door answered, "Billy doesn't live here anymore. He ran away from home."
Glancing behind me to see if anyone else was coming, I begged, "Aw, c'mon, Mom! I'm still your son. Let me in!"
The door inched open and Mom's smiling face appeared. "Did you change your mind about running away?" she asked.
"What's for supper?" I smiled back.
