Many people believe that technologies (技術(shù)) are great for learning. Today, teaching tools such as PDAs ( personal digital assistant掌上電腦) are used in a lot of subjects, such as English.

History and Science.

Many teachers are supporters of using PDAs in language learning. There are several advantages (好處). They say students can have more time for discussion in the classroom because they can get ready for their lessons with the help of PDAs. For example, they can listen to articles at home. They also say that PDAs can help students learn without teachers' help. Some students might need to listen to an article many times to understand it. They can use PDAs to listen to it again and again.

The students are also happy to use PDAs. They think using PDAs is an enjoyable way to learn. It will make the classes much more interesting. And they can learn more in class. Teaching notes are stored in their PDAs and easy to find.

However, many parents complain (抱怨) that PDAs are doing harm to students. They worry that students will use them to download (下載) teaching notes and use them to cheat (作弊) during exams. If a student spends more time on a PDA, he will have less time to talk with teachers and classmates.

In a word, education needs to make changes with times as technology is playing an important part. Let's look forward to a wonderful future when PDAs and other technologies can add a lot to the classroom.
