Nola is a 4l-year-old northern white rhino(犀牛) . She lives in the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in California. She is one of only four remaining northern white rhinos in the world. The other three live in Kenya,Africa.

World Rhino Day,held on September 22 ,is a day to raise awareness(意識) of Nola and the less than 30,000 other rhinos left on Earth.

“Rhinos need our help today, not tomorrow,” said Nola’ s keeper Jane Kennedy. “Last year we lost over 1 ,200 rhinos just in South Africa. If we continue to lose more than 1,000 rhinos a year,in 10 to 20 year’s all rhinos on the planet will be gone."

Rhinos have lived on Earth for more than 40 million years, but they are now endangered because of human activities.

Scientists are trying to find ways to prevent rhinos from becoming extinct. In 1975,the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research started a program called the Frozen Zoo. Through the program, researchers have collected cell samples ( 細胞樣品) from more than 8,000 different animal species(種) , including the northern white rhino. Sciq^tists hope ftat by studying the rhino cells, they will know more about the rhino, and will find ways to increase its numbers.

At the San Diego Zoo,children adults are welcome to visit and speak with zookeqjers to learn about rhinos. They can also take part in different activities. But you don’t have to live in San Diego to celebrate World Rhino Day. It is celebrated around the world to teach people about rhinos.

At school, besides cheating on a test,a kid might cheat in other ways,They might steal someone elses idea for a science project,or copy a book report from the Internet and hand it in as if it's his or her work- cheating can happen in a lot of different ways. When people cheat,it ,s not fair to other people, like the kids who study for the test or who are the true winners of a game.

Some kids cheat because they* re busy or lazy and they want to get good grades without spending the time studying. Other kids might feel like they cant pass the test without cheating. Even though there sterns to be a “good reason” for cheating, cheating isn’t a good idea.

A kid who thinks cheating is the only way to pass a test needs to talk with the teacher or another grown-up. They can find some ways to help solve this problem. Talking about the problem and working it out will make him or her feel better than cheating.

Kids who cheat may feel worried about getting caught. Whether they are caught or not, these kids may feel guilty or embarrassed. Even if they feel fine,or don't get caught, that doesn’ t mean it's OK.

Theres an old saying that cheaters never win and winners never cheat. This may sound difficult to understand, because sometimes it seems like cheaters do win 一 at least for the moment. However, sooner or later, they* 11 pay the price. Its just a matter of time only. And kids who don't cheat are true winners because, when they win, they do it honestly.
