(1)I was so c that I made the same mistake again.
(2)She'll take her son to the d to have his teeth checked.
(3)You'll be p if you break the traffic rules.
(4)Don't worry. If you keep on studying hard, g you will make progress.
(5)Some parents often tell their kids not to believe s words.

(1)careless
(2)dentist
(3)punished
(4)gradually
(5)strangers'
so...that引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語從句。“make the same mistake”說明“我”太粗心(careless)。

go to the dentist去看牙醫(yī)。

癷f you break the traffic rules(如果你違反交規(guī))”是條件狀語從句。

I was 8 years old when I found out my father was ill. It was 1993, but I can remember my mother's words as if it were yesterday. “Jessica, I don't want you to take food from your father, because he has AIDS. Be very careful when you are around him.”
AIDS wasn't something we talked about in my country when I was growing up. From then on, I knew that this would be a family secret. My parents were not together anymore, and my dad lived alone. For a while, he could take care of himself. But when I was 11, his condition worsened. My father's other children lived far away, so it fell to me to look after him.
We couldn't afford all the necessary medication for him, and because Dad was unable to work. I had no money for school supplies and often couldn't even buy food for dinner. I would sit in class feeling completely lost, the teacher's words muffled as I was thinking how I was going to manage.
I didn't share my burden (負(fù)擔(dān)) with anyone. I had seen how people reacted to AIDS. Kids laughed at classmates who had parents with the disease. And even adults could be cruel. When my father was moved to the hospital, the nurses would leave his food on the bedside even though he was too weak to feed himself.
I had known that he was going to die. But after so many years of keeping his condition a secret, I was completely unprepared when he reached his final days. Sad and hopeless, I called a woman at the nonprofit (非營利的) National AIDS Support. That day, she kept me on the phone for hours. I was so lucky to find someone who cared. She saved my life.
I was 14 when my father died. He took his secret away with him, having never spoken about AIDS to anyone, even me. He didn't want to call attention to AIDS. I do.

How to stay relaxed
Hello, everyone. I am very glad to be here with you. As we all know, being stressed out is not a good thing. Here are some tips to share with you.

Whenever you are in trouble, turn to your parents and friends for help. It's better to speak the worries out and get some advice from others. Sometimes you'll feel relaxed when you find that someone else has the same problems as you do.

If you find yourself stressed out, try to find a way to let the feelings out. Doing breathing exercises, listening to music, doing some sports and taking a walk may work. Or just shout it out if the other things don't help you feel better.

When you calm down, it's time to solve your problem. You should find out what the problem is and find a way to solve it. If you can't solve all of it at once, you may begin by solving part of it. When you don't know what to do with your problem, you may become stressed. But when you've found out what the problem is and have started solving it, you will find your stress gone.

Every coin has two sides. Looking at the dark side can make you stressed and it won't help solve your problem. So why not look at the bright side? You may find your problem not too hard to solve when you are less stressed out. And more ideas will come up to you when you are relaxed.

After you have solved the problem or part of the problem, buy yourself a gift, go and see your favorite movie or just hang out with your friends. You will enjoy the feeling of being relaxed.
