The shouts were really cries of excitement because the Louisa, lane had finally reached the United States. Around the world, a lot of people do not have homes, they often live in dangerous situations. Many people and organizations(Ei R)around the world are working to solve the problem. Today the Homeless World Cup organization works with more than 70 other non-profit (非營利的) organizations. Each organization helps choose and train local homeless people for the yearly football competition. Today, 500 people from almost 50 countries play in the Homeless World cup.

The players say that the event changes their lives. David Duke was homeless and didn’t have a job. He heard about the Homeless World Cup in 2003 and decided to join. He played for Scotland. After that, lots of good things happened to him. He went back to school. He found a home. His team won the Homeless World Cup in 2007.

In addition, the organizers of the Homeless World Cup say that the event can change the way we see homeless people. More than 100,000 people watch the Homeless World Cup every year.
