March 21 is World Sleeping Day. Why do we need sleep? Nobody can give a very good answer to this question. But everyone knows that if we don’t sleep well at night, we’ll feel tired the next day. People usually need to sleep eight hours a night. But different people need different sleeping hours. Scientists say students’ sleeping hours are: ten hours for primary school students, nine for junior highs and eight for senior highs. Some people don’t sleep too much at night, such as American scientist Thomas Edison. He worked well with very little sleep at night. Others need enough sleep, such as Albert Einstein, another great scientist. He said he needed at least ten hours’ sleep a night.
