Do You Want to NaNoWriMo?Did you know that November is National Novel Writing Month?It is known as NaNoWriMo.It is challenging to write a 50,000-word novel in one month.There is also a special challenge for young writers where you can choose the word limit.
The NaNoWriMo Young Writer's program can be found at ywp.nanowrimo.org.
The program began in 1999in San Francisco with 21members.Last year,more than 400,000took up the challenge.It starts off with the writer choosing what he or she wants to write about.On Nov.1,writers log onto (enter) the website and update their word count as well as exchange ideas with other writers.They have to stop writing on Nov.30th.
It is perfectly okay if you've never written a book before.NaNoWriMo has resources for beginners.The website offers lesson plans and workbooks you can use to help learn about techniques to use in your novel and start planning what your novel will be about.
