April 22 marks the 45th World Earth Day,a day for us to celebrate Earth. This year,the idea of the day is “It's our turn to lead”. It tries to express millions of voices to push all leaders to take action on climate (氣候) change,the environment,and the connection between poorness and climate change.

Climate change is an important and lasting change of climate. It makes sea levels rise. If sea levels carry on rising,some places,such as the Maldives,St. Petersburg in Russia and Bangkok in Thailand,may disappear under water in just a few years. What⁵s worse,some animals must become fewer or even die. As a result,it may cause the extinction of certain kinds of animals.

Teenager Jake Denham was skiing (滑雪) with his family in the USA when he fell over and lost one of his skis. His family didn't know that he had a problem. They kept on skiing. When they got to the foot of the mountain,there was no sign of Jake.
