【題目】 Have you ever had dreams about building a robot? Or putting together a spaceship? Or even seeing your face made out of chocolate? Done. All you need is a 3-D printer (打印機)!

The possibilities of 3-D printing seem endless. All the user has to do is to design (設計) an object on the computer and choose a material to print in. The printers print in hundreds of different materials including glass, sugar and even skin! When the user presses “print”, the 3-D printer spreads the material layer () by layer and like magic the object is produced.

The first 3-D printer was invented in 1986 by an American, Charles Hull. But 3-D printing has only become cheap enough recently for most people to use. Designers now use 3-D printing to create unusual things. The Dutch artist Dirk Vander Kooj prints furniture (家具) made from old fridges. And doctors have used 3-D printing to print human body parts! A newspaper reported in February that scientists from Cornell Medical College even printed a man-made ear.

But like a lot of new technologies, if 3-D printinggets into the wrong hands, it can be dangerous. In 2011 a group of four men in the US used 3-D printing to produce ATM skimmers (提款機盜刷器). These were placed on an ATM and stole over $400,000 from users of the ATM. It is terrible to think that criminals like them might one day use a 3-D printer to print a gun.

But for better or for worse, 3-D printing has been put into use. In a few years, you’ll probably be wondering how you could ever live without your 3-D printer!

1__________ invented the first 3-D printer.

3The underlined word “gets into the wrong hands” in the fourth paragraph might mean__________ in English.

A.the hands caught by the printerB.to get into trouble

C.the hands used in a wrong placeD.to do something bad

4What does the writer think of the 3-D printer?

A.It is necessary only for our work.B.It is too expensive for most people.

C.It is helpful but dangerous.D.It is useless in our daily life.

【題目】 Have you ever thought about making a bicycle that you dream of? Some creative people have invented some special bicycles. Here are three of them.

Bambikes

Bambikes are produced in a company in Philippines. They are made of an unusual kind of bamboo and other materials like metal and a local plant. They are very strong. And they are a perfect combination (結合) of the greenest building material and common bicycles. By making bambikes, the company offers jobs to the local people. Besides, it provides money for some students in its community to pay for their study. To continue the production, the company plants more bamboo than it cuts.

The heaviest bicycle

A German cycling lover, Frank Dose, has recently made the world’s heaviest bicycle with big old wheels and lots of other waste materials. He created it just because of a bet (打賭) he made with his friend. The bicycle weighed 1.08 tons. It broke the world record of its kind in weight. Frank said his bicycle was surprisingly easy to ride although it had a huge size and weighed a lot. He rode it in front of 5,000 people for over 100 meters to prove it.

Twisted (變形的) bicycles

Two brothers in France created a bike that looks strange to ride and twists in the middle. Riders can make tight turns (急轉彎). The brothers say the bicycle is hard to ride so it can stop people from stealing it. In fact, it isn’t as hard to control as you think. It takes a day or two to get used to the crazy way of riding. It’s amazing. So far, they have 30 of the bicycle, but they are not for sale yet.

根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容,判斷下列句子正誤。正確的用“A”表示,不正確的用“B”表示。

1Bambikes are made of a special kind of bamboo and other materials.

2Frank built the world’s heaviest bicycle with the material that his friend bought for him.

3The two brothers rode their twisted bikes in front of some people to show how easy to use them.
