I realized that I wasn’t like everyone else at a very young age. I have been crazy about certain subjects which don’t interest other kids of my age and even my teachers. In fact, my kindergarten teacher said she would scream if I mentioned snakes or lizards one more time while she was teaching the days of the week. I would get into trouble.

In the third grade, my teacher told me that I had something like Asperger（幼兒孤獨癥）.

I said, “So what? Do you know that Godzilla’s suit weighs 188 pounds?”

Later, I asked my mom, “What’s Asperger? Am I going to die?” She said that I could only see one thing at a time and it was hard for me to focus on other things.

Kids make fun of me for the things I like, people also make fun of me for knowing facts about many scientific things like cyclone. My mom says that she has been able to answer many scientific questions just by listening to what I have to say, but I’ve even been laughed at for being smart.

I have often wondered whether some people would take advantage of this free tastingwithout buying. One day I asked a shop girl this question, and I learned it was indeed the case. “One old gentleman, for example,” she told, “comes here every week and samples every pudding, though he never buys anything. How I hoped to unsay my mindless words! It was too late though, the kindest thing I could do now would be away.

Through her tears, she informed me that they had missed their flight the previous night in Los Angeles and she and her son had spent the night on the airport floor. UK: smart bin

A UK company has invented a "smart bin" to help with garbage sorting. People just need to drop their garbage into the bin. A camera and sensors(感應器) in the bin can tell what type of garbage it is and correctly sort it. The bin also compresses(壓縮) the waste so it takes up less space.
