A week ago, "Sports for Life" programme was sent to the parents, asking them to choose a sport they wanted their child to play. Since then, our staff have received lots of calls from parents asking for more information about it. Here is a memo for your reference（參考） when you answer the phones.

Sports l: Basketball

We expect that this will be the most popular of the four sports. So students should be advised to signup(報(bào)名) as soon as possible. Students will take a bus to and from Kwun Tong Sports Park. Each student will have to pay $10 each time. There will be four basketball courts for our use with one teacher watching over each game.

Sports 2: Gym

We will be using St. Peter's Memorial Park. There are two reasons for choosing this park. First, it is not very busy and crowded before 6:00 pm. Second, it has lots of trees with plenty of shade（樹蔭）. Students must bring along two bottles of water to prevent thirst. Three activities, skipping, jogging, outdoor aerobics will be arranged, all of which are free. And there will be a teacher for each of the activities.

Sports 3: Hiking

Hiking will take place at Kowloon Peak. The activity will start at 2:30 pm and finish 90 minutes later. Three teachers will be ,together with the students, and a hiking instructor（教練） will accompany each group of 15 hikers. Each instructor will cost $ 75 per hour.

Sports 4: Swimming

The Kowloon City Aquatic Centre is a 10 minute walk from our school. Four teachers will go to the swimming pool. Only students skillful at swimming can take up this activity. The pool will have two lifeguards(救生員). Girls must wear a swimming suit, The cost is $ 10 per visit.

    Have you ever posted your photos on the Internet? Would you mind if people cut part of your photo, perhaps your face, and paste（粘貼）it into other photos as a joke? Most people would not like to be made fun of in this way. However, it is not uncommon for people to find such pictures of themselves on the Internet.

We are living in an age of information explosion. People work, play and communicate with others over the Internet. However, we must always bear in mind that some people may use others personal information for unpleasant purposes. A good example of this is what happened to a 25-year-old man. He received an e-mail that appeared to be from his bank, asking for his bank details. However, after he sent his account(賬戶) number to the sender, he found that money was  stolen out of his bank by online criminals.

This story warns us and reminds us never to tell strangers information such as our real names, parents names, telephone numbers or home addresses. Remember to remove any private information, like your photos, after using another person's computers. Also remember not to give out unnecessary but important information when filling in online forms. We need to learn to keep our private information safe. This is the key to protecting ourselves in a world where the Internet is becoming more and more important.

    It was a winter morning, just a couple of weeks before Christmas 2011. While most people were warming up their cars, Trevor, my husband, had to get up early to ride his bike four kilometers away from home to work. On arrival, he parked his bike outside the back door as he usually does. After working for ten hours, he returned to find his bike gone. The bike, a black Kona l8 speed, was our only transport. Once again my husband had a way to get to and from his job. It's really fantastic that a complete stranger would offer help to someone they have never met before. People say that a smile can be passed from one person to another, but acts of kindness from strangers are even more so. This experience has had a great effect in our lives. And we believe that no matter how big or how small, an act of kindness shows that someone cares. And the results can be everlasting.
