John and Henry studied in the same school. John lived in fear of Henry — every day he gave his lunch money to Henry, but Henry still beat (揍) him up. He said that if John told anyone he would beat him up in front of all the other kids in his class. John had to ask his mom for more and more lunch money, but he seemed    1   than ever and came home from school hungry every day.
John even cried one day, and a girl told everyone that he was just like a baby and had cried. John was    2    and felt so bad about himself and about school.

Mexican people have a tradition of greeting each other with handshakes and kisses on the cheek(臉頰). But recently, government officials asked people to   1   this. They have also closed schools and museums, and advised people to stay at home.

What is swine flu ?
Swine flu is a disease that cause respiratory illness in pigs. It spreads to people in two ways. People catch the virus after being with infected pigs, or they get it from an infected  4  . The disease spreads in the same way   5    human flu, through coughs and sneezes and then touching the nose or mouth. However , it  6   be spread by eating pork.
People who have caught swine flu will have a fever , a cough, a sore throat and body aches. In most cases, the infection makes people unwell but their lives will not be   7 .
A few governments around the world have advised their citizens not to visit    8  . Some countries have begun checking air travelers for the disease and have set up quarantines for people who might be infected. Russia, China and other countries have banned buying pork from Mexico,

I am a person who can get angry easily. But since I read an article    1  by my English teacher, things have changed a lot. I’m    2  at a boarding (寄宿的) school. So I  3  learn not only how to study well, but also how to   4  with others. Some of us are outgoing  5 others are quiet. It is   6   that people have problems and arguments. With a hat by his feet, a blind boy sat on the steps of a building. He held up a sign which said, “I’m blind, please help.”

A thousand years ago Hong Kong was covered by a thick forest. As more and more people came to 　1　 in Hong Kong, these trees were cut down and burnt. Now there is 　2　 forest left, though there are still some small areas covered with trees. We call these woods.
Elephants, tigers and many 　3　 animals were living in the thick forest. When people came to live in Hong Kong, the 　4　 began to die out. Ever since 1 was little, my favorite season was winter. I loved to play in the snow and enjoyed the hot chocolate.
