【題文】  There was a traveller who was wet and cold because he had ridden in the rain. At last he got to a country inn. The inn (酒館) was so crowded (擁擠) with people that he could not get near the fire. So he called to the inn keeper, “Take some fish to my horse!” The inn keeper answered, “ But the horse doesn’t eat fish.” The traveller then said, “ Never mind, do it as I tell you.” The crowd of people, hearing this strange order, ran out to see the horse eat fish. A farm is always a busy place. One of the busiest things is when the farmer is getting land ready to grow plants.

It’s a very busy time on farm when the wheat is being cut. Everyone helps so that all the wheat can be taken from the paddocks before the rain comes. If heavy rain falls, the farm must wait for the ground dry out before the machine can cut the wheat. Farmers always have a lot to do through the year.
