　　I am not an experienced(有經(jīng)驗(yàn)的)teacher．However, although I’m a green hand at teaching, I’d like to share with you some of my teaching experiences．

　　My first teaching experience was at Caitian Middle School．I can still remember the first time I stepped into the classroom．I was too nervous to remember where to begin and where to end．To be honest, my heart probably would have jumped out of my chest(胸膛)．

　　After one year’s hard work, I made great progress in my teaching．The teachers told me that if they gave me a score of 50 for my first class, I now can get a score of 90．

　　Two years later, I came to Longgang School．At first, the students missed their old teacher, Ms．Zheng, very much．The students’ parents worried a lot too．

　　With the help of others teachers, I have won the hearts of the students and their parents．Now, some parents even send messages to me, saying how much their kids like me and my classes．

　　So, what I have in my mind is this：I love my job, and I never regret(后悔)becoming a teacher．I will continue to improve myself as a teacher－to learn while teaching．In other words, I will grow up with my students．

　　Tom was three years old．He liked to watch TV with his parents after supper, but his parents never let him stay long．Mother would say, “It’s eight o’clock now．It’s time for you to go to bed, Tom．”

　　Monty Roberts was the son of a poor family．He liked horses．He had a dream to own a horse ranch ever since he was a little child．

　　One day when he was at high school, he was asked to write a paper． It was about what he wanted to be and do when he grew up．He worked hard on it, and wrote a seven-page paper．In the paper he described his dream of owning a big horse ranch someday．

　　The next day he handed it in to his teacher．Two days later he received his paper back．On the front page was a large red F(fail)with a note that read, “See me after class．”

　　He went to see the teacher after class and asked, “Why did I receive an F?”

　　The teacher answered．“This is an unrealistic dream for a young boy like you．You come from a poor family．You have no money．Owning a horse ranch needs a lot of money．You have to buy the land．There’s no way you could ever do it．”Then he added, “Write this paper again．If you write it with a realistic plan, you may receive a better grade．”

　　After sitting with it for a week, he turned in the same paper, making no changes at all．He said to the teacher, “You can keep the F and I’ll keep my dream．”

　　Monty kept his dream and worked very hard．Today he owns a large horse ranch with a big house on it, and he keeps that school paper he wrote on the wall of his sitting room．

　　Last summer the same school teacher came to visit him．When the teacher was leaving, he said, “Look, Monty, when I was your teacher, I was something of a dream stealer．During those years I stole a lot of children’s dreams．It was lucky that you hadn’t given up yours．”

　　Don’t let anyone steal(偷)your dream．Follow your dream, no matter what．

　　Most supermarkets in China provided free plastic(塑料)bags．It was convenient(方便)for people to do shopping，but things changed．To protect the environment，supermarkets all over China stopped providing free plastic bags from June 1，2008．If you don’t want to pay money to buy them，you’ll have to bring your own shopping bags．

　　What can we use to hold things we buy from shops? Students at Qingshan Middle School had some good ideas．One idea was making different kinds of eco-shopping bags．54 students at the school made their own eco-shopping bags．They held an eco-shopping bag show last Friday afternoon．Many students made the bags with used clothes．They painted pictures like the Olympic rings on them．Some bags were made of used materials like used paper，old newspapers．Some were made of eco-materials like bamboo(竹子)．

　　A boy student，Wang Lin made his bag with several old newspapers．We asked him whether the bag was strong enough．Wang Lin said it was．“No problem．I took six bottles of water in the bag from the shop to my home yesterday evening，”he said，“I think it’s strong enough to hold even ten bottles of water．”

　　Fang Yuanyuan，a girl student，had a more traditional way to make her bag－a bamboo basket．“It was a hard job．”she said，“With my grandfather’s help，I spent a whole afternoon making it．”

　　The students also asked their parents and friends to use eco-shopping bags instead of plastic ones．Next Saturday afternoon，the school will hold another eco-shopping bag show to help shops and stores get ideas from the students’ work．

　　Could you be a genius like Einstein? A genius needs to learn and think．Reading is a good idea，but it is not enough．Einstein’s advice is to use your brain more．Here are some tips：

　　●Ask．When you look at new things，ask why they are new or different．Ask ques　　tions．Ask yourself and ask others．Keep thinking until you find the answer．

　　●Draw．Einstein thought in pictures．Sometimes，it helps to draw problems and ideas．

　　●Read．Try to read new things．Read books from different parts of the library．After you read，think about the ideas you have learned．Are they different from what you thought?

　　●Relax．Many ideas come when you are relaxed．Take some time to relax yourself in the ways like taking a walk in a park，going to a concert or a museum．

　　●Write．Keep a diary．Write down your questions and ideas．Write down new ideas after you read．

　　●Share．Einstein used to talk to his friends and explain his ideas．Sometimes，a friend can help you find the answer to a problem．

　　●Be brave．Do not let other people say your ideas are silly．Explain yourself．Let other people explain why they think you are wrong．Then decide．

　　The trees feed the forest "people" by making food in their leaves; by using sunlight to join water and minerals from the soil and air．Their deep network of roots joins the soil together and stops it from dying out, making it possible for living things to live in it．

　　Human beings are like the living things in the forest．We need one another in order to live．We need the farmers to grow our food, railroad and truck drivers to bring it to our shops and clerks(售員)to sell it to us．We need people to prepare our food and cook it and others to take our waste things away．Then, of course, we need doctors, nurses, government leaders, mailmen, telephone operators, and many others．

　　We also need other human beings in another way．We need people for friendship, to talk over our problems, exchange ideas．Think how lonely and unhappy you would be if you lived all alone．

　　Life is a matter of giving and taking．We need to help other people as much as we need other people to help us．Think what a good feeling you have when you have done something for someone else．You know, being a volunteer is so great!

　　Prana was a beautiful dog, whose name means “breath of life”．Although he died several years ago, I can still remember the days we spent together and what he has taught me about love．

　　I have two apple trees in the garden．Prana loved apples．When he went outside, he’d catch an apple and take it into the house to eat later．The apples had been on the ground and were often dirty so I wasn’t always happy that Prana had brought them into the house．

　　It was an autumn day in America, but it was very cold．A big snow fell and we had not done anything for its coming．On that special day, Prana went outside and I watched him through the window．I noticed that he was madly digging(挖)holes and bringing the apples to the ground so they could be seen above the snow．I did not know why he was doing this．He seemed to want to do something special．

　　When I called him back, he had his usual one apple in his mouth．About five minutes later, I looked outside．The garden was completely covered with birds．Prana had dug up all those apples for his bird friends to eat．He knew that they wouldn’t have stored enough food for the coming winter!

　　Folding(折疊)bikes work well for people who ride the train．Just fold the bike and take it with you．You can do the same on an airplane．A folding bike can be packed in a suitcase．You can also take a common bike with you when you fly．But be sure to look for information by getting on airline websites．Not all airlines are bicycle-friendly to travellers．

　　Health Benefits of Bicycling：

　　It helps to prevent heart diseases．

　　Bicycling helps to control your weight．

　　A 15-minute bike ride to and from work three times a week burns off five kilos of fat in a year．
