任務(wù)型閱讀,閱讀下列短文,根據(jù)短文中的信息完成文后表格。(每空一詞)

Although many Chinese students say that their knowledge of English grammar is good, most would admit(承認(rèn))that their spoken English is poor.Whenever I speak to a Chinese student, they always say, “My spoken English is poor.” However, their spoken English does not have to remain “poor.” I would like to suggest that there may be some reasons for their problems with spoken English.

First, they fail to find suitable words to express themselves because of a limited(有限的)vocabulary.Obviously the better answer is to enrich their vocabulary. However, you can speak with a limited vocabulary, if you are active.Others will follow you as long as you use the words that you know.

Second, they are afraid of making mistakes.Sometimes they make mistakes when they are speaking because they are shy and nervous.Yet students should remember that their goal should be FLUENTLY(流暢的)NOT ACCURACY(準(zhǔn)確的).Sometimes you may worry about using a wrong word or tense, but it doesn't matter because the person you are speaking to will understand you and make allowances for any mistakes he hears.

The third reason is that not enough attention is paid to listening. You have one mouth but two ears! All that hearing is necessary for you to start speaking.

Fourth, most Chinese students are passive(被動的, 消極的)language learners.Instead of actively finding chances to improve their spoken English. If you have this good idea, then, you will see English chances wherever you go.

If you do not use your English beyond the classroom, you will forget that English you know.Remember: USE IT OR LOSE IT! You can learn how to speak English better by speaking English more.

閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容完成表格中所缺信息,每空一詞。

Summer is coming soon. When is the best time for swimming in the day in summer?

If you would like to swim indoors, a good time in the day is the early hours – the body has the most energy to use because the body has woken up and will be ready for all kinds of different activities of the day.The body is going to work with enough energy and therefore a person will feel more comfortable if he swims during the early hours of the day.

Swimming early in the day can also be good for anyone who plans to swim outdoors. The conditions outside will be excellent:the water will not be too cold or too hot, and the air will be just clean and fine.Everything is suitable.

Usually, it is not a good idea to swim later in the day because one's body is tired after work for a whole day and also the weather conditions can be the worst in the later parts of the day.

However, there are still some exceptions.Different people feel different and one's body acts differently at different times of the day. When a person is feeling active and is not tired at all after work, it may be a better time to swim for him than for others. If he is alert(警覺的)that time, he is safe in the water.

In a word, the best time can change for every person. The person's body condition decides when the best time for swimming is.

“This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you'll ever need to know,” the teacher replied. Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the boy kept training.Several months later, the teacher took the boy to his first competition.

“No,” the teacher insisted, “Let him continue.”

Soon after the match continued, his opponent made a careless mistake.Immediately, the boy used his move to pin(壓住)him. The boy won the match and the competition. He was the winner.

On the way home, the boy and the teacher reviewed every move in each and every match. Then the boy got up the courage to ask what was really on his mind.

“Teacher, how did I win the competition with only one move?”

The teacher answered.“First, you've almost mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo.Second, the only known defense(防衛(wèi))for that move is for your opponent to grab your left arm.”
