Everyone can experience anger sometimes, but not everyone can control it properly. To some people, controlling anger seems like the hardest thing in the world to do.
When it comes to anger control, there are lots of tools and things that you can do. The first technique you can use is to recognize stress when it occurs. This is extremely important as you need to understand what causes this pressure and attempt to reduce this stress before it transforms quickly into anger.
Developing empathy (移情) is another anger control skill you can learn. You can teach yourself how to reduce or eliminate (消除)anger completely by seeing things from other people’s perspective.
You need to learn how to respond to situations rather than react. Think about your response and calmly approach this rather than reacting suddenly when stress and pressure are triggered.
When you experience unwanted feelings, control these by talking to yourself in your own mind and enable yourself to deal with those feelings effectively before acting on them. By talking it over in your own head you can work out how you will best deal with the situation instead of acting on impulse (沖動(dòng)), which can be destructive.
Anger control can also be achieved with the skill of being able to communicate with others with honesty. You can effectively train yourself to respond to situations without getting annoyed about things.
These feelings can quite regularly be set off by a difference in what we expect and what actually get in life. Often if things do not go our way or we feel we have been harshly treated, we will find it hard to control our anger. If you adjust your expectations, then you should be able to handle difficult situations and cope with them much better.
Finally it is vitally important to step back and think about things that are happening rather than acting too quickly. It can sometimes be very hard not to wade in (介入)and start acting before thinking about things first.
Therefore, it is important to remember that everyone has the capacity to lose their temper and controlling it is the real challenge.

Dear friends,
As we can see, the environment around us is getting worse other than better. Our life and health have affected greatly. The earth is our home, but we have a duty to take care of it, not only for ourselves but for future generations. Fortunate, more and more people have become aware of this problem. Many effectively measures have been taken by the government to deal with them.
As a student, I think we should do what we can improve the environment. First, go to school on feet or by bike as often as possible. Second, turn on the lights and other electrical appliances before leaving the room. Third, never throw rubbish here and there.
It’s time that we do something to protect our environment.

A.The reason why few mummies are left today.
B.The three most famous Egyptian mummies.
C.Mummy and mummification.
D.A safe passage to the afterlife
AB. The reason why Egyptians made and gave up making mummies.
AC. Different ways to make mummies.

When you think of a mummy what comes to mind? Most of us usually picture an Egyptian mummy wrapped in bandages and buried deep inside a pyramid. While the Egyptian ones are the most famous, mummies have been found in many places throughout the world, from Greenland to China to the Andes Mountains of South America.
__小題1: ____
A mummy is the body of a person that has been preserved after death. Normally when we die, bacteria and other germs eat away at the soft tissues (such as skin and muscles) leaving only the bones behind. Since bacteria need water in order to grow, mummification usually happens if the body dries out quickly after death. The body may then be so well preserved that we can even tell how the dead person may have looked in life.
__小題2: ____
Mummies are made naturally or by embalming(以香油涂尸防腐), which is any process that people use to help preserve a dead body. Mummies can be dried out by extreme cold, by the sun, by smoke, or using chemicals such as natron(氧化鈉). Some bodies become mummies because there were favorable natural conditions when they died. Others were preserved and buried with great care.
__小題3: ____
The ancient Egyptians believed that mummifying a person's body after death was essential to ensure a safe passage to the afterlife. Over time almost all Egyptians who could afford to became mummies when they died -- a total of about 70 million mummies in 3,000 years. By the 4th century AD, many Egyptians had become Christians and no longer believed that mummification was necessary for life after death. Eventually, the Egyptians gave up the art and science of making mummies.
__小題4: ____
So where did all the mummies go? Sadly, most were grabbed in ancient times by robbers looking for treasures wrapped up in the bandages. Countless mummies were also destroyed during the Middle Ages, when they were ground into powders to make supposedly magical pills. Later on, modern treasure hunters rushed into their tombs carelessly looking for artifacts and souvenirs. Even industry aided the destruction by using mummies' bandages to make paper or burning their bodies for fuel.
__小題5: ____
The best preserved mummies are those of the pharoahs and their relatives. These mummies tended to be more carefully embalmed and protected from harm. The mummies that have survived allow us to look back into the past and know something of the ancient Egyptians and their time. Three of the most famous Egyptians mummies are Tutankhamen, Seti I and Rameses II (Ramses the Great).

For most people, it is almost impossible to operate on a computer without a mouse, let alone surf the Internet. A well-chosen mouse is really handy, flexible and convenience in controlling the screen. Without the functions of inserting, deleting, moving and copying, it enables us to edit text, browse web pages and download that we want. It can even bring us a flood of musics, movies and PC games. Just imagining, all that can be done with a cute mouse.
A convenient tool can certain make our work easier, and it doesn’t always help in a positive way. Too much ready information on our fingertips leaves a little room for knowledge pursuing. Too many ready answers make us less excited in finding truth. Relying too much on mouse clicking make us much lazier and less creative.

科目:高中英語(yǔ) 來(lái)源:不詳 題型:完形填空

Criticism (批評(píng)) is everywhere in life. It is up to you to decide how to react to it. Learn how to deal with criticism and lead a happier and more relaxing life.
Ask yourself how the criticism will affect you. Will you lose your job because of the criticism? Will you lose what is important to you because you are criticized? Will life stop existing if your opinions are not accepted? Surely not! So, don’t worry about it. Instead, remember that some criticism actually helps you make some improvements.
You absolutely cannot stop what people say. What you can do, however, is to change the way you react to criticism. If you let it upset you, then the blame is on you. You have the right to decide what to do with the criticism you receive.
Don’t be afraid to accept criticism. No one likes to be told that he is wrong. Yet, every single person has, at one time or another, been blamed for something. Realize that it’s normal. You may have received some strong criticism, but it doesn’t mean that you are foolish, or that you don’t have the ability to do something properly. If you are afraid to put your work out for others to see, you’ll  never know if you are a capable person. Try not to think of it in that way and don’t take it seriously. If you can learn to be optimistic, you will remove some stress and nervousness about what people think, thus becoming happier.
Consider where the criticism comes from. It may help you step back and examine what causes the criticism. Is the critic just trying to offer constructive criticism? It is much easier to accept correction or guidance from someone that has good intentions. This type of criticism is known as valid criticism, because there is a valid point or reason to it. On the other hand, there are critics that offer their advice just to be negative. This is commonly referred to as invalid criticism because it is often not of any use at all.
Do your best. And if someone doesn’t like what you’ve done, so what? It’s either valid criticism or invalid criticism. But you have the power to decide how you will allow it to affect you.

My wife and me spent two weeks in London last year. We went here in autumn. We stayed in a small hotel in the West End. It was convenient as we do most of our sightseeing on foot. Taxis was quite too expensive. We couldn’t understand the bus routes, but my wife didn’t like traveling by the underground. She said it made her to feel sick. We went to look at the places which all tourists see. We saw the Buckingham Palace. We came shopping in Oxford Street and spent too many money. What we liked most, though, was going to theatre.

The need for love is deeply rooted in the human psyche(靈魂).   小題1:  According to psychologists, separateness means to be cut off, helpless and alone in the world. It is the source of all anxiety.
小題2:  It can be selfish and possessive, or unselfish and giving. Abraham Maslow distinguishes between two kinds of love: B-love or “being love” means love for another person: unselfish love not dependent upon your own needs. D-love or “deficiency-love” is a selfish possessive love which is based upon someone else’s ability to satisfy your needs.
D-love is conditional. It depends upon whether personal needs continue to be met. But B-love is unconditional.   小題3:  Furthermore, as it depends upon who you are, it is possible only when you allow yourself to be known to the other person.

What is a big dream ? (1)     Or , is a big dream something that provides only entertainment? Children dream big dreams, but there are three barriers to realizing dreams. They often kill them before they ever have a chance to grow.
The Self

Most people are influenced by the inside voice. That’s why only a handful of people make their dream come true.
(3)
Family and friends are a lot like the ego. They want to protect those they love, so they will often list all the reasons why the big dreams won’t come true. Sometimes, family and friends destroy dreams of those they love most, out of their own fear of being left behind.
The World
If one gets past the first two barriers, one has to face the world. (4)     In the past, big dreamers were locked up and sometimes even killed when they were shown to the world. Fortunately, in most of the world today, big dreamers just get laughed at.
