　　I live in a mountain village where there exists a coal mine．Recently an argument took place among the villagers about whether it should be closed．Some 20％ of them insisted that the coal should be mined continuously, saying that villagers have grown rich by exploiting and selling coal．Some of them have bought cars and set up two-storey buildings．

　　However, the other 80％, which makes up the majority, hold the view that the coal mine should immediately be closed, saying that only a small number of villagers have become rich at the cost of the environment．The road is covered by thick coal dust and the furniture in the house will soon be covered with coal if the windows are left open．Personally, I believe coal mines should be owned by the government instead of individuals．Besides, it should be far away from villages．Moreover, far too many coal mine accidents in the newspapers have told us that safety measures should be taken to protect the workers．Already many people ended up in coal mines, leaving their wives and children in deep sorrow．
