Years ago, if a teenager had some problems in his life, he might go home and write in his diary; now, a teenager with  26 problems might go onto the Internet and write about them in a blog(博客).In many ways, a diary and a blog are very  27 .But what makes blogging different from writing in a(n) 28 diary?
The biggest difference is that a blog is much more   29  than a diary. Usually, a teenager treats his diary like a book full of   30  that he does not want to   31 with others.
It’s interesting that someone who writes in a blog   32 a diary will probably write nearly the same information.
I have a little sister, and sometimes I go online to read her   33 . She writes about things like waking up early for swimming practice and not studying enough for her chemistry test.  34 I was her age, I wrote about the same things, but   35 in my dairy. Then, after I had finished writing, I would hide my diary in a secret place because I was  36 that my sister might read it.
The biggest   37  with blogging is that anyone can read what you write. If I was angry with a friend during high school and wrote something   38 about him in my diary, he would never know. 39  ,  if my sister ever wrote something bad about a friend, that friend might   40 her blog and get angry.
There are also   41  to blogging, of course. If I was feeling sad one day and wrote in my diary, “ Nobody cares about me”, because no one would   42 about it. However, if my sister wrote the same sentence in her blog, her best friends would quickly   43  and tell her how much they  44  her. Blogs help people   45 in contact with their friends and know what the people around them are doing.

I had worried myself sick over Simon’s mother coming to see me. I was a new      , and I gave an honest account of the students’ work. In Simon’s case, the grades were awfully low. He couldn’t read his own handwriting.        he was a bright student. He discussed adult subjects with nearly adult comprehension. His work in no way reflected his       .
So when Simon’s mother entered the room, my palms(手掌心) were sweating. I was completely       for her lisses on both my cheeks. “I came to thank you,” she said, surprising me beyond speech.        me, Simon had become a different person. He talked of how he       me, he had began to make friends, and for the first time in his twelve years, he had        spent an afternoon at a friend’s house. She wanted to tell me how grateful she was for the      I had nurtured(培養(yǎng)) in her son. She kissed me again and left.
I sat, stunned (驚呆), for about half an hour,       what had just happened. How did I make such a life-changing difference to that boy without        knowing it? What I finally came to        was one day, several months before, when some students were         reports in the front of the class, Jeanne spoke         , and to encourage her to raise her voice, L had sai, “Speak up. Simon’s the expert on this. He is the        one you have to convince, and he can’t hear you in the        of the room.” That was it. From that day on, Simon had sat up straighter, paid more attention,      more, and became happy. And it was all because he      to be the last kid in the last row. The boy who most needed        was the one who took the last seat that day.
It taught me the most      lesson over the years of my teaching career, and I’m thankful that it came        and positively. A small kindness can indeed make a difference.

I was shopping at my local supermarket, as I normally have for years. One particular day, I had done about 2 weeks worth of shopping and        toward the register to pay for what I bought. After the cashier(收銀員) had scanned my items and I had bagged them up, she stated(說) that the       was $150.
I         into my back right pocket to take the money to pay and noticed that there was no money there.  I started to get       .  I knew my purse was in the car and I was sure I had put the        in my back right pocket. I looked at the cashier with wet eyes and a       look not knowing what to do.  There were people behind me on the line. She told me to speak with the courtesy counter (愛心柜臺(tái)).  I        and said, “Really? It's        , no one would hand that in!”  But she        me to. “You never know…” she said.
I decided that there was no        in checking so I walked up to a woman behind the counter and said “I have to ask, did anyone        cash by any chance?” She asked “How much?” My face then       .  “$200 in the form of one hundred dollar bills.” I replied.  She said, “       , yes, someone did!” I was so       ! “Who? I want to thank her.”  She pointed to a young girl about 10 years old and said, “She did.”
I walked over to the mom and hugged her. She said, “It wasn't me, it was my       ” .  I said “I know, I wanted to thank you both,       she found it ... it's because of you that I got this back.” I was so happy. I was almost in tears.
The next day at work, a person in another department        me tickets to the circus(馬戲團(tuán)).  He handed me 5 tickets. Almost        that young girl’s face popped (突然出現(xiàn)) in my head.  After work I went back to the supermarket and stopped at the courtesy counter and asked if she had any idea who that woman was. She smiled and said, “Yes, She is a friend of mine”.  Then I asked her to do me a favor and pass along these 5 tickets to her.
She told me that the family of the little girl who found my money were not rich so they would really        this.  She also said that they had 3 children, so five was the        number of tickets!
