Zhang Ziyi, born on February 9, 199, in Beijing, is one of China’ most popular and successful entertainers and ever-growing success on the international stage and win the Best Actress prize at the 24th China Golden Rooster.

Looking back at the pressure and frustration she has endured during the filming of Crouching tiger, Hidden Dragon（CTHD《臥虎藏龍》）, Ziyi sometimes feels that Ang lee (the director ) was too demanding. “ whenever  I see him now, I let out my six- month worth of bitterness bit by bit to make sure that he knows how much I have suffered and how much weight I have lost while CTHD was being made.

With her major works The Road Home, crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Rush Hour2, Zhang Ziyi enjoys great popularity.

Despite her success so far, Ziyi is never satisfied with what she has achieved, Ziyi knows well what she is doing. To start making western films, Zhang Ziyi has been working hard to perfect her English for several years and now speaks the language with little difficulty. The movie version（版本） of Memoirs of a Geisha is headed into production. The book became a sensation（轟動） around the world when it was first published in 1997. The story is about a young girl’s rise from poverty in a Japanese fishing village to life in high society. The lead role of Sayuri will go to Zhang Ziyi, with the producer Steven Spielberg. For those unfamiliar with the story, a Geisha is a Japanese woman schooled in the art of dance, singing, and conversation to be a companion for wealthy men.

It may be difficult to say what lies ahead for Ziyi, but it is quite feasible （可行的）for Ziyi to put her feet on the ground and strive（奮斗） to make sure she is at her best in every movie she  is in.

They open the door for women and carry their handbags for them. For some American women, the bad image of Chinese men in the world is largely because of Hollywood films. In many Hollywood films, Chinese men usually do not have a good image. But this has been changed by Hong Kong film star Chow Yun-Fat. After the Chinese film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was shown in cinemas in the United States in 2002, many Westerners began to change their impression of Chinese men.
