As the summer vacation are coming soon, my classmates are trying very hard to get train tickets to go to home. But I have made up my minds to spend the vacation far from home for first time in my life. My parents have agreed to visiting me, and I will have a different vacation. When they came here, I will show them around my university and the city as well. I have decided to buy it some nice gifts. It will be a big surprising for them. My parents have done a lot for me, and I think it was high time that I did anything special to express my thanks.
How are you? As a exchange student, I am writing to tell you I would prefer to move into a single room in next term, as I find it inconvenient to share a room with others. My roommate often held parties at night, made much noise. Besides, his friends are always visiting him, that disturbs me a lot. So I hope to draw your attentions to this problem. If you think in my position, I am sure he will agree that the only solution for me is get a room of my own, one not in the same building and as near to the school campus as possible. I would be gratefully if you could do me the favor.
When I was ten years old, I went to Yangzhou with two American. I became their guide. First, we went to the Shouxi River. They wanted to look around the river by the boat. After buy the tickets, we got into a boat. We went around seeing the beautiful sight. After that, we went shopping. The sellers couldn't spoke English. Though it was very harder, I tried my best listen to their words carefully and translate the sentences. They bought some little things with their help. Next, we went to a small zoo but took some pictures. When we felt hunger, we went out and had lunch. After lunch, we visited some old house and learned more about Chinese history. _________________________________________________________________________
Our school lies on the foot of a mountain with a small river passes by. It used to be a quiet, clean and beautiful place for a school. It is a pity which things have changed after a chemical factory was built near our school one year ago. Every day the factory produces many waste water and some harmful gases. The terribly pollution is harmful to our health. What's bad, the great noise from the factory had a bad effect on our activities. As a result, our school is no longer what it used to. Our teachers and students are miserable beyond the description. _______________________________________________________________________________________
Susan Boyle dreamed of become a professional singer when she was an child. She fail in talent shows from time to time, and she never gave up her dream. When she was 47 years old, Susan took part in Britain’s Got talent on April, 2009. She won over the audience and judge because of his pleasant voice when she sang the song I Dreamed A Dream. Susan finally became famous and realized her dream.
Susan’s story have inspired me greatly. I have learned that we have a dream, we should keep on working hardly on the dream, and it will come true in the end.
