4.A spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) called Empatica,has created a wearable device that monitors epileptic seizures(癲癇發(fā)作).
According to Statista,the value of the global mHealth market for 2015is forecasted to be at around 14.5billion U.S.dollars.In fact,247million people in the US have downloaded a healthcare app for their personal use.
The new product,Embrace,can be paired with a companion watch that a family member,friend or caregiver can wear.When the companion watch is in range of the user's Embrace watch,it will vibrate to alert the companion watch of their medical situation or status.
Embrace is tied together by two apps:an event detector which sends an alert when the user's electrodermal response reaches a pre set level they customize based on their history and health profile; and a diary app which helps monitor and manage everyday routines.
The ultra thin Embrace is the result of several years of research from MIT professor Dr.Rosalind W.Picard,founder and director of the Affective Computing Research Group at MIT Media Lab and her team.Embrace evolved from a discovery with an early device called iCalm in 2008which allowed the researchers to see the outbreak of stress even before it was noticed by the subject.
The sensors in the iCalm device measured the"fight-or-flight response"through electrodermal activity which was measured from the skin surface.In a small test group,the data from the iCalm showed that the wristband data was related to how long the brain waves were suppressed after an epileptic seizure.According to Picard,the data showed the bigger the signal on the wrist,the longer the brain waves went flat after the seizure had supposedly ended.The problem with that discovery,according to the researchers,is that someone who's had an epileptic seizure and then appears to recover should be monitored and not left alone.
Over time,Picard and her team fine-tuned iCalm to what is now the Embrace watch which monitors the user's physiological stress levels.Embrace monitors electrodermal activity (EDA) and movement with an objective of reducing Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP),the leading cause of death of those with epilepsy.
Embrace recently launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for further product development.The company also has partnered with the Epilepsy Foundation and plans to give Embrace watches to children or families who can't afford them.

62.What can be inferred from the passage?A
A.Embrace will undoubtedly have a bright market future.
B.With Embrace,many epileptic sufferers have got cured.

62.選A. 根據(jù)第二段中the value of the global mHealth market for 2015 is forecasted to be at around 14.5 billion U.S.dollars…
Embrace is tied together by two apps:an event detector …; and a diary app…
64.選A. The problem with that discovery,according to the researchers,is that…
Embrace is tied together by two apps:an event detector which sends an alert when the user's electrodermal response reaches a pre set level they customize based on their history and health profile; and a diary app which helps monitor and manage everyday routines."

9.People all want to improve the way they study. Many students say that a lack of concentration is their biggest problem. It seriously affects their ability to study,so do their test results. If so,use these tips to help you.
Study Techniques
?You should always study in the same place. You shouldn't sit in a position that you use for another purpose. For example, when you sit on a sofa to study, your brain will think it is time to relax.Don't watch TV while you are studying.Experts warn that your concentration may be reduced by 50 percent if you attempt to study in this way.Always try to have a white wall in front of you,so there is nothing to distract (make less concentrated) you. Before sitting down to study, gather together all the equipment you need.Apart from your textbooks, pens, pencils and knives, make sure you have a dictionary. If your study desk or table is needed when you are not studying, store all your equipment in a box beside it.
?Your eyes will become tired if you try to read a text which is on a flat surface.Position your book at an angle of 3 degrees.
?Be realistic and don't try to complete too much in one study period.Finish one thing before beginning another. If you need a break, get up and walk around for a few minutes, but try not to telephone a friend or have something to eat.
Test-taking Skills
?All your hard work will be for nothing if you are too nervous to take your test.Getting plenty of rest is very important. This means do not study all night before your test!It is a better idea to have a long-term study plan.Try to make a timetable for your study which lasts for a few months.
?Exercise is a great way to reduce pressure.Doing some form of exercise every day will also improve your concentration.Eat healthy food too.
?When you arrive in the examination room, find your seat and sit down.Breathe slowly and deeply.Check the time on the clock during the test, but not too often.Above all, take no notice of everyone else and give the test paper your undivided attention.

13.Life is to be enjoyed.There's no point in giving.up something you enjoy unless you get something back that's even better.When people eat more healthfully,exercise,and manage stress better,they find that they feel much better.The latest studies show that when you exercise and eat right:
YOUR BRAIN receives more blood flow and oxygen,so you become smarter, think more clearly, have more energy, and need less sleep. Some studies show that just walking for three hours per week for only three months is so helpful that it actually increases the size of people's brains!
YOUR FACE receives more blood flow,so your skin wrinkles(皺紋) less.You look younger and more attractive.However,an unhealthy diet,stress and smoking reduce blood flow to your face so you age more quickly.
YOUR TELOMERES (染色體端粒) get longer.Telomeres control how long we live.If telomeres become shorter,cells age more quickly,thus shortening your life.
Besides,one of the most interesting findings in the study was that the mothers'awareness of stress was very important.The researchers gave the women a questionnaire and asked them to describe how stressed they felt each day.The women who were aware that they were under heavy stress had shortened and damaged telomeres compared with those who felt more relaxed.On the contrary,some of the women who felt relaxed despite (盡管) raising a disabled child had more normal-appearing telomeres.In other words,if you feel stressed,you are stressed; if you feel fine,you are fine.
33.Which change will NOT happen to you when you exercise and eat right?C
A.Having fewer wrinkles.
B.Becoming cleverer.
C.Having shorter telomeres.

B.mothers don't know how to handle stress effectively
C.many women knew little about educating children
D.mothers'positive attitudes are the key to managing their stress
