【答案】

Dozens of old people gather in public parks and squares early in the morning, turn on the loudspeakers and dance to the music, which has been controversial because of the noise pollution it creates.

Some citizens hold the view that the loud noise is unbearable, thus disturbing the normal life of the people living near the squares and they also hope that the groups can keep the volume down to create a quiet environment. However, the retirees think group dancing brings them health and happiness, without which their life will be extremely boring. Besides they have their own right to dance on the square as it is also one of the recreational activities like playing chess or playing cards.

In my opinion, there is no denying that getting together to dance allows the elderly to maintain health and be social(make more new friends who share the same hobby with them, and build up their body as well). However, whatever their choice of entertainment, its important not to neglect the public order and affect other peoples lives. So its time for the government to draft regulations which include details such as the restrictions on the volume, the areas and musical equipment. Only in this way can we see harmonious scene.

【解析】

How to Love Your Parents

Even if you think that your parents are mean-spirited at times, loving your parents is a normal and fulfilling part of life. You love them for the fact that they created you, raised you, and are in part a source of who you are. Here are some ways to love your parents.

However, you had better remember they keep a roof over your head when it’s cold, raining, snowing, or too hot. Understand that parents are human beings and make mistakes.3 Since you can forgive your friends, why not forgive your parents?

Keep company with them. Do things with your parents like watching TV, or go somewhere with them. 4 Listen to their old stories and learn from them. You will find they are your teachers in this way or another.

Some people simply may not be able to love their parents.5 Seek help if you are being abused(虐待) in any way. Parents do not have a right to harm you.

【題目】Your car is a necessary part of your life. You use it every day. Of course, you want to hold on to it so you make sure it has the latest alarm and immobilizer(汽車防盜器). But despite all these, cars like yours are still stolen every day. In fact, in this country, one car is stolen almost every minute! And if your car is stolen, you only have a 50:50 chance of seeing it again.

Each year, car crime costs nearly 3 billion. Of course, if youre insured, you wont lose out, or will you? Firstly, you will have to pay extra insurance later on, and then you may not be offered the full amount by the agent. You will probably have to hire a car and you will also lose the value of the contents and accessories(配件) in the car.

Now comes the solution. An RAC Trackstar system, hidden in one of 47 possible secret locations(位置) in your car, is the key of our system. If your car is stolen, radio signals are sent at twenty-second intervals from the car to the RAC Trackstar National Control Center via a satellite network. Then a computer gives the vehicles exact location, speed and direction.

The RAC Trackstar National Control Center, which operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, will immediately inform the police in the area where the car is located. Because the police receive information every twenty seconds, they will always know the vehicles location. Once the thief has been arrested, your car will be returned to you.

RAC Trackstar is unique in being able to provide the National Control Center with details of the exact location of your car, its speed and direction. And speed is the key to successful recovery of a stolen vehicle. RAC Trackstar Control will immediately tell the police if you report your car stolen and under the 24-hour Guardian Option. This Way to Dreamland

Daydreaming means people think about something pleasant, especially when this makes them forget what they should be doing. Daydreamers have a bad reputation for being unaware of what’s happening around them. They can seem forgetful and clumsy. 【1】___They annoy us because they seem to be ignoring us and missing the important things.

First, understand that some opportunities(機(jī)會(huì)) for daydreaming are better than others. Feeling safe and relaxed will help you to slip into daydreams. 【3___ And if you want to improve your chances of having a creative idea while you’re daydreaming, try to do it while you are involved in another task—preferably something simple, like taking a shower or walking, or even making meaningless drawings.

It’s also important to know how to avoid daydreams for those times when you really need to concentrate. “Mindfulness”, being focused, is a tool that some people use to avoid falling asleep. 【4】___

F. Daydreams are often very simple and direct, quite unlike sleep dreams, which may be hard to understand.

G. Therefore, it’s a good idea to keep a notebook or voice recorder nearby when you’re in the daydream zone.
