An Arkansas truck driver who was convicted （宣判…有罪） of murdering two teenage boys and who admitted to killing two others was executed （處死刑） by injection, an Oklahoma state prison spokesman said．

    George Kent Wallace, 59, was pronounced dead five minutes after receiving an injection of fatal chemicals at a state prison in McAlester, said Jerry Massie of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections．

    Asked if he had any last words, Wallace replied, “No, thank you．”

    Wallace was convicted in 1991 of murdering William Von Eric Domer, 15, of Fort Smith, Ark． and Mark Anthony McLaughlin, 14, of Van Buren, Ark．, and throwing their bodies in an Oklahoma pond just over the state line．The murders occurred three years apart．

    According to what an escaped victim （受害者） said in court, Wallace would approach boys by pretending to be a police officer, take them to a lonely area, then attack them and stab them to death．

    Wallace was arrested in 1990 after an intended victim escaped and alerted the police．After his conviction, Wallace admitted to two other murders in North Carolina．

    Wallace requested a last meal of eight pieces of fried Chicken, four biscuits and a pint of banana pudding．

    It was the 30th execution in Oklahoma since the state resumed execution in 1990 and the 11th in 2002, approaching the 1933 record of 14 in one year．

    It was also the first execution under a new schedule, taking place at 9 p．m． instead of the midnight hour that had been used since the 1930s．

Hillary Diane Clinton arrived at the White House after serving as First Lady of Arkansas for twelve years.
