A few 47 later, the barn door opened again. Unbelievable! The young man had never seen any bull so 48 and fierce as this one in his life. It stood there, pawing(扒) the 49 and eyeing the young man. “ What the next 50 was like ? It had to be a better choice than this one,” he thought. He let the bull pass through again.
The door opened a third time. A 51 came across the young man’s face. This was the weakest bull that he had ever seen. “ This one was my bull,” he 52 to himself. As the bull came running by, he positioned himself just right and 53 at just the exact moment. He threw his hands to catch ...... But to his 54 , the bull had no tail.
Life is full of opportunities. 55 catch the first one.

從下文 you can marry my daughter(原詞復(fù)現(xiàn))結(jié)合上一句中fell in love with the farmer’s beautiful daughter可知此處指年輕人希望娶農(nóng)夫的女兒。
從第二段stood in the field(原詞復(fù)現(xiàn))可知農(nóng)夫要求年輕人站在田野里。故選A
從下文中the tail of any one of the three bulls(原詞復(fù)現(xiàn))可得知農(nóng)夫說他會放出三頭公牛。
He threw his hands to catch ...
A.Immediately立刻,馬上B.Quietly安靜地C.Finally最后,終于D.
A.talking about談?wù)摚劦紹. thinking of想起,認(rèn)為C.looking for尋找D.waiting for等待。
從下文的out came the biggest bull及 the barn door opened again可推斷出牛棚被打開,故填opened。
A. decided對…
It had to be a better choice than this one(復(fù)現(xiàn))可知此處選choice
He let the bull pass through again可知此處選D
A.house房子B.
This was the weakest bull that he had ever seen說明年輕抑制不住心中的喜悅,故選smile。
【小題17】根據(jù)上一句“ This one was my bull,”推斷出這是年輕人他暗自思忖著,故選B

For the last couple of weeks , I had been stuck in front of my computer working on a project that was very important to me . My every waking hour was consumed by the project and although I imagined that I would feel happy after completing parts of the project, I was confused to find that instead , I was feeling rather depressed . I tried a range of methods to help cheer myself up. I had a relaxing bath, cooked a delicious meal to enjoy with my family and even watched a lighthearted movie, but to no avail. It was only when I turned to meditation(沉思) for a solution that the answer came to me : turn to nature!
The very next day , I grabbed my camera and a bottle of water and set off to spend a few hours walking in a nature reserve , even though it was pouring with rain . Within a couple of minutes I felt alive again. To be honest . I felt like a young school girl again and had to stop myself from hopping along the path singing , “I’m singing in the rain.”a song I used to sing when I was a child . I think as adults we often try too hard to control our inner children and as a result we restrain(限制)our own spirits , which only leads to depression and stress.
Interestingly,it has been shown that people who spend 40 minutes walking in a nature reserve have a drop in their blood pressure levels. But this does not happen when they spend a similar amount of time walking in a busy city centre .
If you feel a little low in spirit and know that you have spent too much time indoors , relax completely , remove your shoes and let your inner child come out and play.

A.couldn’t consume her waking hour |

B.depression is usually caused by hard work |
C.walking in a busy city centre harms people’s health |
D.a(chǎn)dults should express their inner feelings freely |

We each have a memory. That’s why we can still remember things after a long time.
