    The Man Who Achieved Everything He Could

Once upon a time, there lived a man who wanted to achieve everything he was capable of achieving. He was obsessed with this desire --- he ate, slept, and walked with one and only dream: to die, having accomplished every single thing he was able to accomplish.

Children brought up on healthy diets are more intelligent compared with their junk food eating partners, a new research suggests.  

Kids fed a diet packed high in fats, sugars, and processed(加工)  foods had lower IQs than those fed pasta(意大利面食), salads and fruit,  it was found.

Parents were questioned about the types and frequency of the food and drink their children consumed when they were three, four, seven and eight and a half years old. According to their different changing form, these children were marked and given grades which ranged from minus two for the most healthy to10 for the most unhealthy.

In the research, IQ was measured of 4,000 children when they were eight and half years old,  using a validated(經(jīng)過認(rèn)證的)test-the Wechsler Intelligence Scale(韋氏兒童智力量表) for Children.

The results found after taking account of some influential factors, a leading processed food diet at the age of three was associated with a lower IQ at the age of eight and a half , whether the diet was improved after that age.

Every l point increase in dietary pattern score was associated with a l.67 fall in IQ.

Remembering names is an important social skill. Here are some ways to master it.

l  Recite and repeat in conversation.

When you hear a person's name, repeat it. Immediately say it to yourself several times without moving your lips. You could also repeat the name in a way that does not sound forced or artificial.

l  Ask the other person to recite and repeat.

You can let other people help you remember their names. After you've been introduced to someone, ask that person to spell the name and pronounce it correctly for you. Most people will be pleased by the effort you're making to learn their names.

l  Admit you don't know.

Admitting that you can't remember someone's name can actually make people relaxed. Most of them w ill feel sympathy if you say. "I'm working to remember names better. Yours is right on the tip of my tongue. What is it again?"

Link each person yon meet with one thing you find interesting or unusual. For example, you could make a mental note: "Vicki Cheng - tall, black hair." To reinforce your associations, write them on a small card as soon as possible.

l  Limit the number of new names you learn at one time.
