One day, I was cooking in the kitchen as the telephone rings. I went to answer it immediately. She was my close friend, Lisa. When we were talking on a phone, the fire alarm sounded. I ran back to the kitchen. The room full of smoke and the beef was badly burnt. I quickly turned off the gases, opening all the window, and then went out of the house. In my surprise, two fire engines were outside my house. I was rather worried. I told about the firemen that it was my careless cooking which caused the heavy smoke.

小題1:as→ when
小題2:rings→rang
小題3:She→It
小題4:a→the
小題5:The room ∧full of→was
小題6:opening→opened
小題7:window→windows
小題8:In→To
小題9:told about →去掉about
小題10:which→that

根據(jù)I was cooking in the kitchen 可知我正在做飯,此處應(yīng)是正在這時(shí)電話想了。When正在這時(shí),as表示伴隨,同時(shí)發(fā)生。
talk on the phone 打電話。
The room full of smoke是獨(dú)立主格結(jié)構(gòu)不是句子,因此改為句子在full前加動詞was。
It is/was+強(qiáng)調(diào)的內(nèi)容+that+剩余的部分。it was my careless cooking which caused the heavy smoke.

Trust has been considered as the basis of any relationship, including friendship. No relationship can last long with a lack of trust. Not many of your friends will have real faith in you as you would like to believe. 小題1:  . Sometimes, it takes years, even a complete lifetime, to trust someone. However, how do we know if our friends have faith in us?
小題2:   . With whom will you share things that you don’t want everyone to know? It would be with a close friend, whom you trust as much as you trust yourself. While a few of your friends may be fiercely protective of their privacy and may not tell their secrets to anyone, those who do, surely find you trustworthy and reliable.
Whom do you look up to for advice when you need it the most? It has to be either your parents or your friends.  小題3:   . This is a shining example of trust. You only seek advice from people you hold in high regard and find dependable. The friends who trust you will never forget to include you in the important decisions of their life.
Arguments and heated discussions are a part of every relationship, and this is also true for friendship.    小題4:     . While some people find it difficult to forgive and forget, your friends will never have problems moving on. It is because they trust you and believe that you will never cause any pain to them on purpose.
There are times in life when you find yourself a lonely soldier.    小題5:    . Your friends will never let you down and will strongly stand for you when you need encouragement. You can determine that they trust you and believe in your beliefs, if they side with you when you need them the most. People can be extraordinarily jealous(猜疑的) sometimes.
A.You know they will never pass on a wrong suggestion.
B.In fact, winning trust is, by far, the most challenging aspect of relationships.
C.Two people cannot have identical reactions to a situation and different opinions do exist.
D.No matter how close you are to your friends, you cannot take that comfort level for granted.
E.If your friends share their secrets, there’s a good possibility that they have much faith in you.
F.However, people who are fortunate to have been blessed with true friends are never alone in any battle.

Over the last 25 years, British society has changed a great deal – or at least many parts of it have.   小題1:. Ideas about social class – whether a person is “working - class” or “middle - class” – are one area in which changes have been extremely slow.
In the past, the working-class tended to be paid less than middle-class people. The typical working man would collect his wages on Friday evening and then, it was widely believed, having given his wife her "housekeeping", would go out and squander the rest on beer and betting.
The old style of what a middle-class man did with his money was perhaps nearer the truth. He was-and still is - inclined to take a longer-term view. Not only did he regard buying a house as a most important thing, but he also considered the education of his children as extremely important. 小題2:. Only in very few cases did workers have the opportunity (or the education and training) to make such long-term plans.
小題3:In a large number of cases factory workers earn as much as their middle – class supervisors (管理者). Social security and laws to improve century, have made it less necessary than before to worry about "tomorrow". Working-class people seem slowly to be losing the feeling of inferiority(自卑感). In fact there has been a growing tendency in the past few years for the middle-classes to feel slightly ashamed of their position.
小題4:.They generally tend to share very similar tastes in music and clothes, they spend their money in having a good time, and save for holidays or longer-term plans when necessary. There seems to be much less difference than in precious generations.小題5:. As long as this gap exists, there will always be a possibility that new conflicts and jealousies will emerge, or rather that the old conflicts will re-appear, but between different groups.
A.Nowadays, a great deal has changed
B.Both of these provided him and his family with security
C.As a result, differences in life – styles and attitudes came into existence
D.However, we still have a wide gap between the well – paid and the low - paid
E.In recent years, the working – class people have begun to design long – term plans
F.In some ways, however, very little has changed, particularly where attitudes are concerned
G.The changes in both life – styles and attitudes are probably most easily seen amongst younger people
