Children art education is something that is much encouraged for the child’s creative growth. This is necessary because a child can have a sense of appreciation of the arts and along with all the other things that they learn in school. 1.

Children art education should be designed from a very early age so that they are allowed to express themselves freely in whatever way that they wish to. 2.

However, the task of children art education is not a very easy one, because you have to find the right way in which you can help them get interested in what you are trying to teach them. 3. The physical space where the art education is to be carried out should also be carefully decorated to make it attractive to the children. Use of colors should be made in abundance (豐富) as that is what attracts a child first to it.

Displaying examples of artwork that you think would be important enough to influence the children is also a good idea. Of course, a photograph of a painting of the Madonna (圣母馬利亞) is something that children might not appreciate. 4. This will be a source of inspiration for the children to try them out as well.

The creative process is something that you must not interfere with (干涉) during a children art education class. 5. But after that, you must wait for the children themselves to come up with something meaningful to their ability. As long as the end result is connected with the topic, every child’s art work is worth praising.

A. You can just give them a topic for drawing.

B. A trip to an art museum can be an inspiration to many students.

C. They also have a place where they can express all their feelings.

D. The reason for this could be the lack of interest in the teacher.

E. This is the only way that art can be appreciated as children grow up.

F. So creating the right environment for children art education is very important.

G. Instead, put up paintings that children will be fond of.

In Vietnam, Tet-Trung-Thu, or the Mid-Autumn Festival, is one of the most popular family holidays. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month.

Vietnamese families plan their activities around their children on this special day. In a Vietnamese folk story, parents were working so hard to prepare for the harvest that they left the children playing by themselves. To make up for that time, the parents would use the Mid-Autumn Festival as a chance to show their love and thanks for their children.

As a result, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also called the Children’s Festival. In the United States, this tradition continues in many Vietnamese-American families. Activities are often centered on children and education. Parents buy lanterns for their children so that they can take part in a candle and lantern parade at dawn. Lanterns mean brightness, while the parade means success in school. Vietnamese markets sell a variety of lanterns, but the most popular children’s lantern is the star lantern. Other children’s activities include arts and crafts in which children make face masks and lanterns. Children also perform traditional Vietnamese dances for adults and take part in contests for prizes. Unicorn (麒麟) dancers are also very popular.

Like Chinese people, Vietnamese parents tell their children folk stories and serve moon cakes and other special treats under the bright moon. A favorite folk story is about a carp (鯉魚) that wanted to become a dragon. The carp worked and worked and finally changed itself into a dragon. Parents use this story to encourage their children to work hard so that they can become whatever they want to be.

A. in China and other Asian countries

2.In both Vietnam and China, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, people would ______.

A. eat moon cakes B. buy lanterns for children

A. Family get-togethers.

B. Children and education.

C. Relaxation and fun in the middle of the year.

D. Parents having more time with their children.

4.The parents tell their children folk stories because ______.

A. children like listening to them in the evening

B. they want to show their love for their children

C. they want to encourage their children to work hard

D. they want to make up for lost time

Our environment isn’t as green and beautiful as it should be. There are steel(鋼鐵) monsters blocking out the sun, blowing out dangerous smoke, and letting out poisonous chemicals into rivers, cars producing harmful waste gas, people throwing out waste in a wrong way and all other kinds of sources that ruin the planet. Facing current environmental problems, people need to do their best to save the earth.

You can see many big garbage dustbins in the streets. They’re not there for a show, but for you to drop your waste. We should realize that what we do does count. So next time you get that urge to throw gum or a chocolate package out of the car window, or “accidentally” drop as you walk down the street, ask yourself how much waste you’ve been contributing to the environment with that bad habit going on for years.

At home, the first thing we can do to protect the environment is avoid letting water run continuously and make sure that taps(水龍頭)are not leaky(漏的),which would help greatly in scrimping. Another is to use energy-saving lights, and turn them off before you leave the rooms. It is not only energy-saving, but also cuts down electricity costs.

Recycling is a method to make items reusable. Many things you want to throw out can be made into new products through the reproducing process. Use your imagination to come up with ways on things that you can use again.

Pass the message of simple ways to save the environment on to kids. Starting with kids is a good way of teaching the message early in their lives, in the hope that they can carry it forward as they grow older.

With environmental protection awareness in mind, we can do what we can, for the results are to have a big effect on the planet. As long as we do our part, the world is one small step closer to being saved.

1.In the first paragraph the author uses “steel monsters” to describe________.

A. huge buildings B. high mountains

C. big factories D. characters in fairy stories

2.From the fifth paragraph, we can know that ________.

A. protecting the environment begins with small chores

B. protecting the environment should start from childhood.

C. wonderful life comes from environmental protection

D. protecting the environment benefits the country and the people

3.Which of the following is NOT true?

A. The more people do their part, the greener the environment will be.

B. Selling what you don’t want any more is a kind of recycling.

C. To protect the environment may help you save some money.

D. Your bad habits for the environment are a valuable contribution.

4.The passage is mainly about_____________.

A. the use of garbage dustbins

B. how to save water and electricity

C. how to save the environment

D. our current environmental problems

What are you feeling right now as you start to read this? Are you curious? Hoping that you’ll learn something about yourself? Bored because this is something you have to do for school and you’re not really into it — or happy because it’s a school project you enjoy? Perhaps you’re attracted by something else, like feeling excited about your weekend plans or sad because you just went through a breakup.

Emotions like these are part of human nature. They give us information about what we’re experiencing and help us know how to react. We sense our emotions from the time we’re babies. Young children react to their emotions with facial expressions or with actions like laughing or crying. They feel and show emotions, but they don’t yet have the ability to name the emotion or say why they feel that way.

As we grow up, we become more skilled in understanding emotions. Instead of just reacting like little kids do, we can identify(定義) what we feel and put it into words. With time and practice, we get better at knowing what we are feeling and why. This skill is called emotional awareness.

Emotional awareness helps us know what we need and want, or don’t want! It helps us build better relationships. That’s because being aware of our emotions can help us talk about feelings more clearly, avoid or settle conflicts(沖突) better, and move past difficult feelings more easily.

Some people are naturally more in touch with their emotions than others. The good news is that everyone can be more aware of their emotions. It just takes practice. But it’s worth the effort.

Emotional awareness is the first step toward building emotional intelligence, a skill that can help people succeed in life.

1. How do young children react to emotions?

A. With laughter and shouts.

B. With signs and expressions.

C. With facial expressions and actions.

D. With gestures of different kinds.

2. From the passage we know that emotional awareness actually _________.

A. enables us to live in society more easily

B. lets people understand others better

C. brings about conflicts between people

D. smooths away difficulties in our life

3.Where is the passage probably taken from?

A. A science fiction. B. An advertisement.

C. A science magazine. D. A television show.
