A long road leads through the woods to Don Robinson’s unfinished house. Wearing dirty sneakers and a shirt with holes, Don Robinson is an 81-year-old Missouri businessman. Although he’s rich, he didn’t use his money to buy himself a grand home. Instead, he used it to buy wild land.
Robinson has decided to donate 843 acres of his own personal wilderness to the Department of Natural Resources after his death, which can then be used to create a new state park. His generous donation is the same size as New York City’s Central Park. It is said that it’s the largest land donation to happen in the last 25 years.
How did he come up with this idea? For Robinson, the idea of donation came from his respect for the land and the environment. He doesn’t have children to pass it onto. He hoped that someone would make full use of it, or the land would probably turn into wasteland. A green park filled with trees can at least help deal with global warming, in addition to producing fresh air.
Robinson has lived here in a small wooden house since 1964.One room holds his bed, a few chairs and a desk. He said he didn’t care how much his donation was worth. Tom Pounders who used to work for Robinson said, "He doesn’t think material objects are important.” He also recalled that Robinson once repaired a broken tennis shoe with a spare tire.
Robinson has just one request for the new park that will be established after his death. He’d like it to be named the Don Robinson State Park. "There’s a lot of Robinsons, but only one me. It would be nice if people remembered to use my full name when walking through the park," he said.

Steve Nash enjoys team success far more than personal success, and always wants to share the glory and the joy with teammates.
?? He is a self-effacing (不愛出風頭的) Canadian, who grew up in hockey country. Today Steve Nash has to stand alone even if he doesn’t enjoy it. The Phoenix Sun’s point guard has to take ownership of a set of skills that sets him apart from every bigger, faster basketball player. He is considered the best basketball player in the game.
?? 31-year old Nash was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the NBA on May 8, 2005. “It’s unbelievable,” he said. “It’s been a long road for me and I really enjoy playing as a team, just trying to be a good teammate. That is the only way for me to highlight what I do as a basketball player.”
?? It is the first time a Canadian has won any individual NBA honor. Of the 50 winners of the MVP award, only six have been guards: Steve Nash, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, and Bob Cousy. “I’m happy for him getting the MVP, which makes us feel like we all got the MVP,” said Phoenix forward Shawn Marion.
?? He may be the only one who truly believes he can reach this level. “I always try to set goals for myself and have my own time frame to accomplish them and I never give up on anything,” he said. It is not as if Nash arrived at this point without countless hours of hard work.
?? His interests go far beyond sports and the NBA. His social conscience is such that he wore a T-shirt bearing an anti-war slogan at the NBA all-star weekend festivities in Philadelphia in 2002.
?? “A lot of great moments are when you win games with your teammates. There’s nothing like sharing something with someone else,” he said. “There is a pinnacle (頂點) of a player’s career individually. In many ways, the pinnacle of a player’s career really is defined by team wins.”

If it really is what’s on the inside that counts, then a lot of thin people might be in trouble.
Some doctors now think that the internal(內(nèi)部的) fat surrounding important organs like the heart or liver could be as dangerous as the external fat which can be noticed more easily.
“Being thin doesn’t surely mean you are not fat,” said Dr Jimmy Bell at Imperial College. Since 1994, Bell and his team have scanned nearly 800 people with MRI machines to create “fat maps” showing where people store fat.
According to the result, people who keep their weight through diet rather than exercise are likely to have major deposits of internal fat, even if they are slim.
Even people with normal Body Mass Index scores can have surprising levels of fat deposits inside. Of the women, as many as 45 percent of those with normal BMI scores (20 to 25) actually had too high levels of internal fat. Among men, the percentage was nearly 60 percent.
According to Bell, people who are fat on the inside are actually on the edge of being fat. They eat too many fatty and sugary foods, but they are not eating enough to be fat. Scientists believe we naturally store fat around the belly first, but at some point, the body may start storing it elsewhere.
Doctors are unsure about the exact dangers of internal fat, but some think it has something to do with heart disease and diabetes. They want to prove that internal fat damages the body’s communication systems.
The good news is that internal fat can be easily burned off through exercise or even by improving your diet. “If you want to be healthy, there is no short cut. Exercise has to be an important part of your lifestyle,” Bell said.

A.People with heart disease all have internal fat.
B.People can get rid of internal fat by improving diet.
C.Men are more likely to have too much internal fat.
D.Exercise can help to reduce the internal fat.
2.From the last paragraph, we can find that ______.
A.whether internal fat can lead to disease has been proved
B.exercise plays an important role in people’s life for keeping healthy
C.thin people usually have internal fat even if they are slim
D.it is easier to burn off internal fat than external fat
3.Doctors have found ______.
A.the exact dangers of internal fat
B.internal fat is the cause of heart disease and diabetes
C.being slim doesn’t mean you are not fat inside
D.being slim is not dangerous at all
4.The underlined part in the last paragraph means ______.
A.a(chǎn) long road B.a(chǎn) clear difference
C.a(chǎn)n easy way D.a(chǎn) short distance
