Paper cutting is one of the most popular Chinese traditional folk arts, which dates back to more than 1,500 years ago. It became widely used during the Ming Dynasty. Paper cutting works are usually used to decorate rooms during special events like the Spring Festival or weddings. Red paper-cutting works are the most common because they stand for happiness and good luck.
