【答案】

Our school has set up a column called “Soul Castle” for senior 3 students. It is aimed at relieving pressure, and ensure the health of students. The column has the unique advantage that the experts in psychology can give us the expertise and guidance. It covers the thoughts and feelings of students and the professional suggestions.

From my point of view, not only does our school attach importance to our study but also put our mental health at the top of the list. It also provides a platform to communicate with our teachers and parents. Moreover, we can get help and guidance from professionals to solve our mental problems. With its help, we can take the College Entrance Examination with confidence.

【題目】The Internet has opened up a whole new online world for us to meet, chat and go where weve never been before.

But just as in face to face communication, there are some rules of behavior that should be followed when on line. 【1】 Imagine how youd feel if you were in the other persons shoes.

For anything youre about to send: ask yourself, Would I say this to the persons face? if the answer is no, rewrite and reread. 2

If someone in the chat room is rude to you, your instinct (本能) is to fire back in the same manner. But try not to do so. 3 If it was caused by a disagreement with another member, try to fix the situation by politely discussing it. Remember to respect the beliefs and opinions of others in the chat room.

4 Offer advice when asked by newcomers, as they may not be sure what to do or how to communicate. When someone makes a mistake, whether its a stupid question or an unnecessarily long answer, be kind about it. If its a small mistake, you may not need to say anything. Even if you feel strongly about it, think twice before saying anything. Having good manners yourself doesnt give you license to correct everyone else. 5 At the same time, if you find you are wrong, be sure to correct yourself and apologize to those that you have offended.

It is not polite to ask others personal questions such as their age, sex and income. Unless you know the person very well, and you are both comfortable with sharing personal information, dont ask such questions.

A. Its natural that there are some people who speak rudely or make mistakes online.

B. Repeat the process till you feel sure that youd feel comfortable saying the words to the persons face.

C. Everyone was new to the network once.

D. The basic rule is simple: treat others in the same way you would want to be treated.

E. When you send short messages to a person online, you must say something beautiful to hear.

F. You should either ignore the person, or use your chat software to block their messages.

G. If you do decide to tell someone about a mistake, point it out politely.

【題目】

The Post Office in Britain is famous for getting letters and parcels to places to which they should be sent. The problem is that we the public have to observe the rules. For example, we must put a stamp on a letter. If we don’t, the receiver will have to pay double. We often see the sign ALL LETTERS MUST BE CORRECTLY ADDRESSED. These days, this means having to use postcodes. If you didn’t use a postcode, it’s no good complaining that your letter should have arrived sooner. Parcels are a problem because they must be correctly packaged. If Aunt Sophie is going to send you a jar of your favorite jam, she will have to wrap it up well. The most important thing we have to do is to address our letters and parcels legibly(易讀) and correctly. This means clear handwriting and correct spelling. What we should do and what we actually do are often miles apart. Recently, the Post Office had to deliver a letter which showed a name followed by the word Arijaba. What is this, do you think? Arabic? Hiodustani(興都斯坦語)? Wrong both times! Say it out loud and you’ll see it’s just plain English. HARWICH HARBOUR!

【1】In England _______ if you forget to put on a stamp.

A. nobody can receive your letter

B. you will have to give some money as a punishment

C. you can’t have your letter posted

D. you can still have your letter posted

2If you didn’t use a postcode, _______.

A. your letter couldn’t arrive soon

B. your letter would be surely lost

C. your letter could not be posted

D. your letter would be sent back at last

3When we post parcels, we must _______.

A. address them correctly

B. address them clearly

C. package them correctly

D. all of the above

4From the passage we can see that postmen _______.

A. have no difficulty in delivering any letters

B. have difficulty in delivering mis-spelt letters

C. won’t deliver any letters with bad handwriting

D. can deliver all letters to their destinations(目的地)

With the development of the Internet, more and more children are addicted to play online games day and night. It does harm not only to their health, especial their eyes, but also to their studies.

Comparing with online games, many traditional games benefits kids mentally and physically. They were very popular to several generations, for they learned something valuable and had a fun playing the games. Therefore, the games are losing our appeal now, and some children even havent heard of them.

Personally, I think teachers and parents should take measure to limit their children's Internet time. Let children know harm of online games and the benefits of traditional games. What's more, we should often organize traditional activities for children.
