Great changes have been taken place over the past five years in my hometown, that is a famous historic city. The streets used to be narrow, filling with small shops. Rubbish can be seen everywhere. Nowadays the streets are wider and clean with trees and flowers planted along the sidewalks. Besides, four new parks have been opened for the public and a number of high buildings has arisen in the city. However, some of the historic building have been torn down to make room for the high buildings. Our city now is modern and clean and it doesn’t have its own special characteristics.
