　　Nursing at Beth Israel Hospital produces the best patient care possible．If we are to solve the nursing shortage, hospital administration and doctors everywhere would do well to follow Beth Israel example．

　　At Beth Israel each patient is assigned to primary nurse who visits at length with the patient and constructs a full-scale health account that covers everything from his medical history to his motional state．Then she writes a care plan centered on the patient’s illness but which also includes everything else that is necessary．

nine months, British teenager Mike Perham made history last month as the youngest person to sail solo

     The 17yearold made the record after he cleared the Panama Canal (巴拿馬運(yùn)河) and then sailed
through the Caribbean and home across the Atlantic.
     Mike is only three months younger than Zac Sunderland, the 17yearold American boy who had taken
the crown as the youngest solo aroundtheworld sailor in July.
     The two youngsters met in Cape Town in South Africa as they crossed the globe in different
directions. Mike insisted they were not rival (競爭對手). "No. It's two teenagers going out there, living

   Mike may be young, but he is no stranger to sailing adventures. He picked up the hobby at age 6 when
