【小題1】B 根據(jù)短文at the booking office.以及Can I help you?
I’d like to fly to Helsinki, Finland. I’d like the cheapest flight available可知對方要去芬蘭的赫爾辛基,而且要最便宜的票。
【小題4】C 根據(jù)下一句Sure , no problem.
【小題5】F 根據(jù)下一句Smith: Will Smith.

A. Hard work
B. Principles for success
C. Active learners
D. A sense of humor
E. A successful sales team
F. A head start
【小題1】___________
I was hired to do some training for a sales team from one of the largest companies in America. There were 16 people on this team. That year their sales (for the 16 of them) were close to 250 million — that’s right, a quarter of a billion dollars! Needless to say, it was an excellent and interesting time. I decided to learn a little bit myself, so I watched them closely to see what kind of people they were and to see what common characteristics they shared.
【小題2】___________
They simply weren’t a terribly serious bunch of people. Instead, they saw that life was to be enjoyed and that means they were able to laugh a little bit. Sure, there were varying levels in this but they all had a sense of humor. They were able to laugh at circumstances, and they were able to laugh at themselves. It was quite refreshing and the most important key to their success, I’m sure.
【小題3】___________
They didn’t come from families that gave them a free pass into the upper rank of the business world and they didn’t get a head start from upper outside universities. What got them to where they are now? Hard work! That’s right, another example that if you put your mind to it, work hard and get in the right situation, you can achieve great things! These folks work long hours and are disciplined in the work they do. And it is paying off.
【小題4】___________
They were always occupied in the learning process. During my sessions they were attentive and listening. You could see their minds processing the information. They were asking questions and applying the material to their work and their lives. They wanted to improve in any way that they could. It was also interesting to watch them in their team meetings led by their sales manager. They were very interactive and were learning from one another. None of them was above learning from a colleague.
【小題5】___________
What did I see in these successful people? The same things that can make you a success as you apply the principles to your own life: a sense of humor, hard work, and a desire to learn at every turn.

Shoopping for clothes is not the same experience for a man as it is for a woman. A man goes shopping because he needs something. His purpose is settled and decided in advance. ____【小題1】____. All men simply walk into a shop and ask the assistant for what they want. If the shop has it in stock, the salesman immediately produces it and the business of trying it on takes place at once. _____【小題2】____.
Now how does a woman go about buying clothes? In almost every respect she does so in the opposite way.  【小題3】  . She has never fully made up her mind what she wants, and she is only “having a look around”.    【小題4】  . She will try on any number of things. The most important thing in her mind is the thought of finding something that everyone thinks suits her. They are always on the look-out for the unexpected bargain. Faced with a roomful of dresses, a woman may easily spend an hour going from one rail(掛衣桿) to another before selecting the dresses she wants to try on. It is a painful process for husbands, but obviously an enjoyable one for wives.

A.Her shopping is not often based on need.
B.Few men have patience with this treatment.

Encouraging Positive Relationships
Choosing one’s friends is an important part of growing up. And although you can’t choose your children’s friends, you can have a positive influence on the relationships they make throughout their formative years. Use the following strategies to help your children to build positive relationships with their friends.

【小題3】  If you feel that one of your child’s friends is having a negative influence on him, invite that friend to spend time with you and your child together so that you can have a positive influence on the relationship.
● Engage in community service. Engage your family in service and volunteering (or join a social group) through a local church, school, or other nonprofit organization.   【
【小題5】  When talking about a friend who has a negative influence on your child, focus your comments on that friend’s behaviors, not on her personality. For example, instead of calling your child’s friend irresponsible for smoking, you could point out that the behavior has a negative effect on her health and recommend ways for your child to help her quit.

B.Get involved.
C.Don’t condemn your child’s friends.
D.Help your kids find the group that they fit with.
E. These events can be great places to meet new friends.
F. It’s important to develop positive relationships with family members as well.

I’d like to staying there for a month, visiting place of interest and practicing my English as well. We’ve been writing to each other for near a year now. I have often dreamed of talk face to face with you. I imagine you’ll be at vacation yourself by that time. Perhaps we could go out do some sightseeing together.

Dear Mrs. Winthrop,
So my first week at college is over! No lectures this morning so I think I’d email you and let you know what things are going.
I’m glad to say that anything has worked out fine in the dorm. I remember asking for a room as far away from the lifts as possible and they find me a comfortable one second floor. There are two girls from my course here and I plan to make friend with them so we can help each other on the course work. Everyone else seems very nice and warmly here.
Well, I had better to stop now. I’m going to attend mine first lesson this afternoon, for I’ve got some preparation to make, Keep in touch.

Last Tuesday, the Students' Union in our school advised that Senior Three students shall do something specially for their parents on their 18th birthdays. All the students are active in responding it and most of them have come up with their ideas. Some choose to write a letter saying it's best way to express their appreciations as well as love for their parents. Others will prefer to cook a big meal to show that they've already grown up.
As for me, I want to do up hair and wash feet for my parents. By doing which my parents have been doing for me I can really know how much they've devoted to bring me up. Being 18 years old mean that we should learn to be independent and that we should be responsible for us.
