   A Week ago, "Sports for Life" programme was sent to the parents, requiring them to select a sport
they wanted their child to play. Since then, our staff have received lots of calls from parents asking for
more information about it. Here is a memo (備忘錄) for your reference when you answer the phones:
   Sports 1: Basketball
   We expect that this will be the most popular of the four sports. Therefore, students should be advised
to sign up as soon as possible. Students will take a private bus to and from Kwun Tong Sports Park. To
cover the cost of hiring a bus, each student will have to pay $10 each time. There will be four basketball
courts available for our use with one teacher watching over each game.
   Sports 2: Gym
   We will be using St. Peter's Memorial Park. There are two reasons for choosing this park. First, it is
not very busy and crowded before 6:00 pm. Second, it has a lot of trees with plenty of shade. Students
must bring along two bottles of water to prevent thirst. Three activities, skipping, jogging, outdoor
aerobics (有氧運(yùn)動(dòng)), all of which are free of charge, will be arranged. And there will be a teacher on
duty for each of the activities.
   Sports 3: Hiking. (遠(yuǎn)足)
   Hiking will take place at Kowloon Peak. The activity will start at 2:30 pm and finish 90 minutes later.
Three teachers will accompany the students, and a hiking instructor will accompany each group of 15
hikers. Each instructor will cost $ 75/hr.
   Sports 4: Swimming
   The Kowloon City Aquatic Centre is a 10-minute walk from our school. Four teachers will go to the
pool and conduct the goings-on from the poolside. We will only be able to reserve the pool for one hour
(i.e. 2:45pm to 3:45pm). Only students skillful at swimming can take up this activity. The pool will have
two lifeguards present. Girls must wear a swimming suit. The cost is $10 per visit.

Chinese premier Wen Jiabao called the landmark debut flight a “complete success”. The descent capsule (返回艙) carrying Lt. Col. Yang Liwei touched down on the grasslands of the Gobi Desert, in central Inner Mongolia at 6:23 a. m. Thursday (Beijing Time), the Beijing-based China's Aerospace Command and Control Center said. Minutes later, Yang grabbed the capsule hatch with his hand, pulled himself out, smiled and waved at recovery teams and reporters. “It is a splendid moment in the history of my motherland and also the greatest day of my life,” Yang, a former flight pilot from Northeast China's Liaoning Province, said immediately after emerging. In an interview with CCTV, China's state television, Yang said he was “feeling excellent”. Shenzhou V landed at dawn, 4.8 kilometres (3 miles) from its designed landing target, the officials said. “The spaceship operated well,” the astronaut Yang Liwei said in his first publicized comments. “I feel very good and I am proud of my motherland.” After a physical exam on spot, Yang's condition was found as “good”. Li Jinai, the commander of China's manned space program, called Yang a “space hero” and a “national hero”. Following Yang's touchdown China's premier Wen Jiabao immediately spoke to Yang from Beijing's Command and Control Centre and offered his congratulations.

　　Within hours, Chinese space officials announced that the country's space dreams will continue with a “Shenzhou Ⅵ” mission, most possibly within a year. They said China also had worked out plans to conduct space walking by its astronauts, and eventually build up a space station. However, Chinese scientists ruled out building a space shuttle, like the United States.

　　Yang's flight came four decades after the former Soviet Union and the United States pioneered manned spaceflight. Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin orbited the Earth in April 1961. One month later, the United States launched Alan B. Shepard Jr.

After that the vet came in and injected him with the shot that would put him into a quiet sleep .All the while I held him and told him I loved him , then the vet said his heart stopped beating .They placed him in a little box and I took him home and buried him in the yard where we always run and played ,right under his favourite bush .I still cry myself to sleep ,even though I  am a grown man of 65 years of age ! That cat means everything to me .I have a little stone on his grave and it says ,"Bugle ,my beloved cat ,you were so smart and loving ,I shall miss you every   day for the rest of my life !"
I am sorry for your loss and I know you must feel.I hope this comforts you some .
